Did ya' like Dominion? Try Thunderstone.

No problem. It's right on theme for a D&D website. :D

Did ya' like Dominion? Try Thunderstone.

Dominion is excellent! And it can be played in about an hour.

Did ya' like Dominion? Try Thunderstone.

Picked up Thunderstone this week after reading a quickie review on boardgamegeek.com. It was described as Dominion with better art and a D&D-type theme. I'd say that's pretty spot on. Seonaid and I are huge Dominion fans with many games under our belt so the 'build your deck' mechanic was...

    Dragon Age: Origins

There isn't any decent loot in those rooms anyway. It should be exactly identical. The only difference on the PC is the interface and a better selection of camera angles.

    arkham horror strategies?

He's certainly a damn good monster killer. There are a few characters in expansions that are really good as well but Michael is just as good due to the reasons you already stated (Tommy Gun, tough guy, etc.). :)

    Dragon Age: Origins

:p Hmm ... the dream/puzzle was my favorite part of the tower. Orzammar feels like more of a slog than the tower. That's not a knock on it, I'm loving it so far.

    Dragon Age: Origins

I just dissagree and say that I quite liked the Mage's Tower. Didn't feel like a slog at all.

    Dragon Age: Origins

It'll be interesting to see if the rumor turns out to be true. :)

Uh, no thanks, I'll play this instead.

I couldn't agree more. I suck at Carcassonne (for example) and rarely win but it's still fun to play. Same with other games. I have no Won't Play list. Especially with people I've not played a particular game with. The crowd can totally change the experience and I'm not missing out on that...

[?] Battlestar Galactica the board game

If the Admiral is a toaster the humans better find out quickly and lock him up! And yes, the Crisis cards are random. The trick is try and keep all resources from being one turn away from doom as long as possible. It's more about resource management (and not just the 4 dials) than anything...

[?] Battlestar Galactica the board game

 Oh, certainly. Seen it many times. A friend of mine never wants to play again because she finds it way too stressful.

    Blu-Ray players and movies

Nope, just the HD size. If you ever want more size you can always put in a larger HD. Honestly, I'd just get the machine with the best game bundle. :)

Just use all the campaign info and play it in your system of choice. :)

    Dragon Age

Hmm, lots of hate here for a videogame world that's darn engaging. Interesting. The setting is good enough for me to be interested in picking up the dead tree version if the price is right.

Yeah, fail is hardly the word. Not finish is more appropriate.

    My Time-Warner Cable Rant (v.1.0.1)

Holy hell. I have to say that I've been very pleasantly surprised (not to mention shocked) that my interactions with our DSL provider (AT&T) and TV (DirecTV) have been, on the whole, excellent. I can't always say the same about the equipment itself but the service has been good, especially...

Yeah, I played with it on Vista and it didn't effect enough things to be worth it. I may give it another shot with Win7 now installed but it's not really worth it at this point since it won't make the text in Dragon Age any bigger.

Mine is 1920x1080 native. And I know that monitors hit that easily, my 24" does. Just giving some perspective on what I've been playing at. As has been said, any rig that will do at least 1920x1080 will be just fine. The only problem I've had on mine is the text for everything is too small...

I have no idea. It's only been about a month or so but zero BSoD so far where before it was weekly.
