Need a quick critique on two covers...

Image One: Don't treat your text like a tertiary piece of imagery. Let the text be in the foreground with dominance--overlapping any cover illustrations. Sharpen your transitional colours. The use of the atomosphereic 'blur' smacks of insecurity and glosses over the importance of your cover...

    ideas on a peace treaty

Sign a peace treaty that gives executive power to the usurpers...make sure peace is restored by allowing all current laws of your kingdom stay intact. Try to make this sound very reasonable...my people won't understand new laws...they are a traditional people...ect. Before they take over...

    Strategy or role-playing game?

It seems to me that the newer editions have become more logically ordered and inherently intergrated. Meaning, the same rule-set works across the board in terms of DMing and PCing, combat and non-combat, tasks and events, and statistics versus activities. I feel this has given players a firmer...

    Homebrew Worlds: Racial Gods?

I usually set up a pantheon of gods in terms of mythological associations (family tree, creator...destroyer, ect) and then have each god/dess represent different or multiple aspects (love, hate, vengence, compassion, ect). I then give each god multiple names based on cultural perspective...

    Explain Canada

I assure you it was quite on purpose. I'm a big fan of Garry Neil Kennedy...and if I've learned anything from his work...it's that you can never trust signs. Did one of my undergrads there. And it's great to see other artsy-fartsies haunting the boards.

    favorite book of all time

Satanic Verses by Salman Rushdie....and it's great to see Nick Hornby make the list--he has several amazing novels. I've read the first chapter of Satanic Verses hundreds of times...it is mesmerising to me...can't really pin down only one reason for it though.
