Warforged: How much does their adamantine/mithral sell for?

I don't know, it would make it pretty much impossible to repair damaged armor/weapons (like a partially sundered sword, for instance). :\

"Ring, engage the cloaking device" "Aye, aye, captain"

Even if that were true, I don't think it would change anything, though. If the the ring acts on the same initiative count as you, then it can act after your round of actions. Thus, you make all your attacks and then the ring activates itself. You'd only be invisible during part of your own...

    Gamers and Stereotypes

Yeah. Really, I get many great ideas for games while I'm working off. :) Oh, and when you have more muscle mass, you expend more energy just walking around normally, breathing in and out and so on. So it's like you're working out all day long, baby ! That is one Buddha that, if you see him...

    Gamers and Stereotypes

Most of your time ? You don't have to go all health-ninja, turn vegan and start biking to work, yo. Every little bit helps. And personally, I'd say that the point of working out is not to "become slim". Really, "becoming a little less overweight" is already very very good. But the main reason...

    improved sneak attack

It's 5 points per attack. At 10th level, a rogue could have 4-5 attacks, if he really wanted to (and he would if he had that feat :)) and had a wizard friend with Haste. I'd say 20 points of dmg is a pretty big deal. Not really game breaking, but still. There's a feat in Book of Exalted Deed...

"Ring, engage the cloaking device" "Aye, aye, captain"

Blinking also slows you down and gives you a 20% miss chance (and also to miss with targeted spells you cast, IIRC). Also, since it sends you to the Ethereal plane and back, it doesn't work on the Outer Planes ?%/$%/*?% Lord of the Iron Fortress. :D

"Ring, engage the cloaking device" "Aye, aye, captain"

Yeah, that's what I meant. Yes, you'll be invisible when it's not your turn, provided the ring is smart enough to delay to just after you. Darkness also has a very good point. If you are fighting someone with this ring, and you can't see invisible creatures, it's much less infuriating than...

    Pixie LA=4?

Also, starting at 10th level or so, a large percentage of whatever you'll be fighting will be able to see invisible creatures.

"Ring, engage the cloaking device" "Aye, aye, captain"

You are also only going to be invisible for one attack per round, on average. That's really much worse than Greater Invisibility.

d20 verions of Forget (AD&D 2nd MU spell)?

Assassins can also cast it. :]

Where are the encounter distance rules?

In 3.5, they aren't in a table. The distance for each terrain type is presented in the description of that terrain in the DMG.

    Abusing Cleave?

Nonlethal damage cannot drop anyone below 0 hp ever.

    Improved Toughness

Same here. Or maybe I'd combine Toughness and Endurance.

    Overlooked, underappreciated, magic items

I think he meant that if a potion weighs a lot and you cast it on the cork, it'll open and the bottle will fall to the ground. Besides, the spell doesn't necessarily generate what physics would call "force". Technically, with that interpretation, as long as your vial weighs less than 5 pounds...

Ok, so who can be the creator? [2005 Thread]

Right. "Nice boots of elvenkind. What kind of leather are they, by the way ?" :D

Massive Damage, DR, Temporary Hit Points and Return to the Tomb of Horrors

I wouldn't bet my life on it, but I seem to remember a thread not too long ago where people were saying that temporary hp from multiple sources weren't cumulative. Yeah. We've realized this lately, as we run our first high level game. That 50 hp limit is purely arbitrary and we ended up nixing...

    Help with my first cleric.

Even in campaigns where you can't buy magical items, potions are often available for sale. But yes, potions are useful sometimes. For instance, when I play clerics, I make a lot of scrolls for rarely used utility spells. But I try to get my hands on a potion of remove blindness because a scroll...

You can't play that, you don't RP well enough

Same here. Not that I'm a roleplaying nazi that forces players who want to use Diplomacy to convince me with their flowery prose or anything. Mostly, it's when I know that the player won't bother trying to roleplay his character in a consistent manner, then I won't let him play that. Well, in...
