I've kinda inadvertently ended up saving already. Being stationed in Korea and not being a drinker, I've wound up saving a ton of money without even realizing it. Unless I meet with financial disaster before then, I don't see myself having any trouble buying 4e.

I would personally find it quite funny if you can attack someone for nonlethal damage and use something like Healing Smite on them at the same time to heal their lethal damage. "Regdar's bleeding out! We need some healing over here quick!" *paladin kicks him in the ribs* "Get up you pansy!"...

I've heard a lot of people (though less lately) say that 4e will be "too anime." I have to disagree. I don't think it's anime ENOUGH! I grew up on anime before it became cool (darn kids these days with their professional-quality dubs), and it really flavored my view of warrior types. But...

Having experienced a "kindergardener swarm" in real life, I have learned not to underestimate those smaller than you in large numbers. They may be small, but think of how many of them it takes to equal your weight, and once you're underneath twice your weight in them there's no escape. :eek:

The cases I've seen of inter-party conflict were handled maturely. The closest we ever came to actually trading blows in the party it was a highly memorable and comedic scene right out of a movie. Ironically, the two characters who were squabbling were only one step away from each other...

I heard, but don't know where, that the coinage rate will be cahnging in 4e. So 100 copper = 1 silver, 100 silver = 1 gold, 100 gold = 1 platinum. That might alleviate the Money Bin effect a bit.

Repeating info in every "core" book is bad. White Wolf realized that, which is why they made a single core "World of Darkness" book for the new game. I doubt Wizards will repeat the mistakes of their main competitor.

Personally, I'm all for some Wuxia style moves for Martial characters, depending on how you define that. Blocking arrows with your sword is okay. Running across a wall is okay. Redirecting an attack so it hits the guy behind you is very cool. But I'd rather have things like making your sword...

That's part of the problem. There really WAS no difference, something they wish to change. In another (dying) thread I suggested other power sources: Incarnum: Probably not, since it didn't do well. Draconic: Sorcerers, Dragon Shamans, etc. Shadow: Illusionists, possibly Ninja

Maybe introduce three new power sources in each cycle, and then create a complete-type book? Then introduce some "missing" classes in those books. Like, the Bard, sorcerer, and swordmage appear in the arcane book.
