D&D 4E 4e, Gleemax, and DDI info from GAMA Trade Show

I'm pleased (and maybe a little surprised) that, our of all the news items in the OP, the one that garned the most interest and discussion thus far was the re-release of old settings! :) I'm still fairly neutral about 4E, and am unlikely to switch in the immediate future; the digital component...

    My WoTC Interview

Great interview, Joe!! Let me start by saying that I'm not a 4E "hater", but I'm not likely to upgrade in the immediate future. That said, I will say that they do seem enthused about 4E, so points for that. However, I was surprised they didn't have a more polished reponse to the questions...

Amethyst RPG Cover Art Posted (even more images)

Well, I think you may have another convert here! The brief description really piqued my interest, and I'm always looking for new and exciting settings. (I admit it, I'm a setting whore!!) And, of course, the art is gorgeous; that goes without saying. I'll lookinto it to see if my FLGS can...

    Dragon 363 - Epic Binders

I'll second the recommendation of "Secrets of Pact Magic." Yes, some of the prose is cheesy, (if not downright bad!!!), but overall there's a TON of useful information, and the new Vestiges (Sorry, "SPirits") will add alot of utility to the Binder class.

D&D is dying by the hour

I don't think Wizards is "killing" D+D [necessarily]. I think 4E will launch and do well; perhaps not as well as they would like or expect, but enough to make it worth the companys while. But, IMHO,they ARE manhandling the much-loved property; but YMMV, of course. With the launch of 4E mere...

    Save Torg!

I agree with the poster who said that there needs to be a Wiki dedicated solely to D+D/ RPG's.

    Pathfinder 1E Paizo Annoucement!

This is definitely a daring move, but one that I think will ultimately be beneficial, both to the company and it's fans. Best wishes to all the good folks at Paizo, and I'm looking forward to lots of exciting new Pathfinder products!!

Boston Gameday - Sat, March 15th (FULL!)

Yeah, I'll echo MojoGM's thoughts. Awesome day all around! It was alot of fun to see some familiar faces and meet new people to game with! Thanks to Piratecat & Kidcthulhy for hosting (again), and kudos to Ghul for a great C+C game, and to LegolasGimli24 for an awesome M+M session!

Boston Gameday - Sat, March 15th (FULL!)

Bruce and I are set for tomorrow! We're in for "Castle Zagyg" and "Welcome to Tranquility". I assume pre-gens are provided? We'll contribute bagels, donuts, or something equally yummy to the breakfast!

Boston Gameday - Sat, March 15th (FULL!)

Please count me in, along with my friend Bruce K. We've both been before, and I'm looking forward to seeing some familiar faces once more! (We can both contribute to breakfast as well, needless to say.) We're flexible to what games we play, though I would LOVE to get in on a M&M session if...

D&D FR novels, the good, the bad, and the ugly

Interesting topic. (Now if we could only one for the White Wolf fiction lines...) The good? ELaine CUnningham: I find her FR fiction to typically be a tad above that of some of the other FR authors. The Cleric Quintet: SUre,it has it's problems, (the Bouldershoulder Brothers can...

    D&D 4E First Impressions of 4E / Predictions on 5E

I'm fascinated by the OP. (And welcome back to the hobby, Pozeltum!) To a degree, aren't people like Pozeltum the exact target that WotC seems to want to market to? Someone who is either A) new to the game or B) coming back after a hiatus to the "newness" of 4E? And yet his overall feelings...

Chainmail Bikinis & other Cheesecake art in the 4th Edition Core Books.

Let me preface this by saying that I am a gay man. And I'm not particularly interested in cheesecake OR beefcake. That said: I agree with Varianor Abroad about liking #2 and #3. I think they defintiely hit the right tone with that. #1? Granted, as a gay man, I'm not the target audience, but...

Horror on the Orient Express Audio Game

Heya, Paul! Just wanted to say "Thanks" to you and the gang for the hours of enjoyment you've given me. :D I have listened to the WLD audiogame, the Masks audiogame (What a wild session that finale sounded like!!), and am avidly keeping up with the Horror game. And is it too soon to lobby...

D&D 4E Who has rights to BoEF, and are they in on the 4e OGL

For me, the BoEF was mostly a sucess, with a few downsides. Sure there's a few things that wouldn't fit into my campaign, but there was lots more that would. Romance (and, to a MUCH lesser extent, eroticism) is something that can really serve to vitalize a campaign. Wouldn't it matter more to...

D&D 4E What chances are there for a 4e DARKSUN to be published?

Sometimes. (I'm still straddling the fence on 4E overall.) I do think the presumed higher starting power of 4E suits Athas; it always was a "killer" setting. But the more important thing to me is to capture the FEEL of Athas, and (from what I can see) it seems that 4E is focusing on a more...

D&D 4E What chances are there for a 4e DARKSUN to be published?

WHile I'd like to see Dark Sun reprinted and revised, I'm not banking on it anytime soon. (THough they are reprinting the Dark SUn novels, so, as the saying goes, "Never Say Never".) However, there are some logisitical problems to overcome, needless to say. One of the biggies is the "Defiler...

Are you interested in kid friendly products?

I don't have kids myself, but I'd still advocate having "Kid-Friendly" RPG products. (Hell, I may even buy and read some of them myself; I'm always looking to glean ideas from any source available!!) Granted, the RPG market is niche to begin with, but I think there's certainly room for this in...
