    The Incredible Hulk

Weird. Roth has always struck me as a pretty talented actor. I would think he could handle a Russian accent without much trouble.

    The Incredible Hulk

Yeah I actually thought so too. Pretty faithful to the source material. Though I laughed at how many times they showed him flinging his shield down that stone hallway, and the shot of him panting with exhaustion looked like how I imagine I would look portraying Cap. ;)

    The Incredible Hulk

I thought it was funny, I was just confused is all. :)

    The Incredible Hulk

It seems to have been replaced by what I can only assume is a fan-made Cap trailer. D'oh.

    The Incredible Hulk

Sounds like Raimi isn't too confident that he'll be asked back for Spidey 4 (and after 3, I can't say that is surprising). That bit about Favreau is really disappointing. I hope Marvel doesn't screw up that relationship, as Favreau was a huge part of why that movie was so good (the other part...

    Kung Fu Panda

Yeah that animation was very cool. Very "Samurai Jack", but even better.

    Kung Fu Panda

That's a pretty good description. I'd probably rank the summer movies the same way, personally (though I liked Indy more than a lot of people it seems).

    I don't get what you'all are saying

Ah, not too shabby. I'll have to try something like that if we play a 3e campaign again (hopefully we will at some point...)

    I don't get what you'all are saying

I guess I've always just looked at HP as a way of representing how difficult a creature/character was to overcome in combat. Looking at it as just how much physical damage something can take has always been tough to explain in D&D. Anyone with enough HPs never had to worry about being stabbed in...

How did he do that? I always wanted to try something like that but I never found something to let me swap out the sneak attack ability.

    4E is for casuals, D&D is d0med

I largely agree with what you are saying. 4e is different, and doesn't really fit this version of D&D. The problem is, groups like the one I game with were tired and frustrated with 3e, and it was largely those sacred cows that were causing the problems. Shortly before 4e was (officially)...

    What is wrong with 4E?

I'd also be careful about using ENworld as an accurate market sample. We're an eccentric bunch around here IMO. ;)

    What is wrong with 4E?

No problem! I agree that immersion is important, but this is something I don't think D&D has done well since the earliest editions, IMO. I guess I've gotten used to it by now. After reading through the feats this morning, I have to agree that some of them are pure meta-game and hard to...

    What is wrong with 4E?

    whoops

    What is wrong with 4E?

That sucks, sorry to hear that. Can't say I experienced the same -- my books are in perfect condition and are well-built from what I can tell. My 2e books, on the other hand, are held together by hockey tape. ;) I dunno; the system being functional is pretty much paramount to my enjoyment...

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull [spoilers]

While I agree with RangerWickett that the writing could have been tighter (particularly with the whole alien corpse aspect -- there's that old saying in writing: if you mention a gun in the beginning, it better go off by the end), I also agree with Mistwell that it is unfair to harp on the...

    Rate 4e!

I dunno. My group had fun when we played it last weekend. Perhaps the folks who frequent EN World are a skewed sample group and their tastes in RPGs aren't reflective of gamers in general. Or maybe for some people "I don't like it" is the same as "It isn't a very well-crafted system". Or maybe...

Iron Man 2, Thor announced for 2010

I dunno, I'd bet we'll see a version of the Mandarin, just not the racist stereotype one.

Uwe Boll got shut down by United States distributors

I think when Blizzard was still looking at making a WoW movie (I've heard it's beens scrapped) they specifically stated that Boll wasn't allowed to make the movie.

    Dean Koontz's Frankenstein: Prodigal Son

Awesome work as always. My wife is reading the novels now, so I'll let her know about this.
