Silver Age Sentinels (Tri-Stat) -- and Streamlining Hero

Would that were always the case. There is some guy on RPG.net who says he does not like the new Champions book because he skimmed it at the hobby store. I guess everyone likes to make leaps of logic like that. “I no like look of book from 5 minute skimming, thus book no good!” :) I do have a...

Silver Age Sentinels (Tri-Stat) -- and Streamlining Hero

SAS is a beautiful book, but the Tri-Stat system bores me to death. Who wants to play a game with 3 stats? Not me. The strangest part about it to me is that a normal's stats run from 1-12. That is Aunt May to Captain America. Every other superhero's stats have to fit from 13-20. 12 steps to...

    Hextor and Heironeous's common parent?

Why not take it ten steps farther. There is really only one god, Zagyg, who has two-hundred and fifty different personalities. He really is crazy. :)

    Silver Age Sentinels, any thoughts?

If you are looking for a "standard" d20 superhero game then I suggest you look at Deeds Not Words, Vigilance, or 4C2F. All of them can be bought from RPG.net. If you are looking for something d20ish, then go with SAS d20 or the upcoming M&M. If you are looking for something different, then go...

    Hextor and Heironeous's common parent?

Ever heard that old adage about the word assume? :)

    Hextor and Heironeous's common parent?

The switch from axe to sword is applied logic. WotC wanted a knight's God who used a sword, not an axe, so the canon was changed to fit the style of play WotC wanted. This was done for economic reasons, to make the God more appealing to gamers, and thus making the game slightly more profitable.

    Hextor and Heironeous's common parent?

I believe there is a link to it from the Canonfire site. www.canonfire.com If you cannot find it there, I suggest doing a search for it on www.google.com .

    Hextor and Heironeous's common parent?

Because the original question was: "Can anyone tell me if it has ever been said who their parent's are? I've always thought it might be St. Cuthbert (for the super lawful-ness) and then either yondalla/ehlonna for heironeous, and Lolth/Wee Jas for Hextor." And my answer was: "In Tal Meta's...

    Hextor and Heironeous's common parent?

Do people on these boards have problems reading? :) Let me say it a third time. Tal Meta has an interesting write-up on the Greyhawk Gods on his website. Within his pantheonic write-ups he has made Erythnul their father. Now, nowhere in the above sentence did I say it was canon, or did I say I...

    Hextor and Heironeous's common parent?

But you see, I did not say Alia was their mother. I said Tal Meta has an interesting write-up making Erythnul their father. Those are two entirely different things. Also, no Greyhawker would consider Chainmail canon just because it was published by WotC; especially considering that it flies in...

    Hextor and Heironeous's common parent?

What, you don't think a man can have sex with more than one woman? :) They could be half-brothers on the father's side, or on the mother's side.

    Hextor and Heironeous's common parent?

In Tal Meta's excellent write-up of the Greyhawk Gods, he has Erythnul being the boy's parents; and that seems to make sense to me. I believer there is a link to Tal's material on the Canonfire website, if you cannot find it there then do a search for "Tal Meta" on Google. It will turn up.

[OT] Why are so many Americans "overweight"

The fact is that all societies go through changes as to what they consider to be "normal" weight and appearance. The last half of the twentieth century has been dominated by thin bodies and image. The first half was dominated by heavier. My father served in World War 2, and was amazed to see how...

[OT] Why are so many Americans "overweight"

Re: some comments Luxembourg only has a population of 441,000, which is just a little higher than Fresno, California and about the same as Kansas City, Missouri. That country is not large enough to support overweight citizens. :)

[OT] Why are so many Americans "overweight"

It is nice to know that you have met all 284 million of us, and can make such a broad statement about us. :) I spent a great deal of time in the military, stationed around the world. If anything, Americans are not "extreme in lifestyles, opinions and size". America's lifestyle is fairly...

Gary, I think you should define "blows off the city". The move from Milwaukee to Indianapolis was decided some 2 to 3 years ago; long before Pete purchased the rights for Gen Con. [GR] Mutants & Masterminds Web Preview

Ultimately there are only 4 genres: Fantasy, Supers, Sci Fi, and Pulp. The Fantasy market is overly saturated, IMO. Supers was a dead market until about a year ago. Seeing that, many publishers jumped on the bandwagon, so now we are getting the flood. Sci Fi is still fairly open. I do not...
