Oh, I totally agree with the above... hand x-bows are rough. And won't exactly qualify for "awesome." However, what if you could free-action load a heavy x-bow, and still get multiple attacks... that's the part ranger build that I would have you take. As for trap-finding, not a problem...

Hmm, what exactly is that? I'm curious, having a scout in my game. I believe what is occuring is that the PC enters from one side, attacks, and then moves around the character to get to the opponent's other side. This is fine. Just remember to charge the scout and pound him/her. Aluvial
