    Mage Teas

I don't think it's unbalancing. After all, potions keep seemingly forever as long as they're sealed. By the way, this is still a great idea even if you can't take it with you adventuring.

    Mage Teas

Do you plan to have a way to preserve the teas, treating them like potions, so several doses can be taken adventuring, or is that implied also and I just missed it? Because I got the impression that the tea needed to be drank soon after brewing to be effective.

What books are these monsters in?

    Mage Teas

You have caster levels, market values and prerequisites, but no XP costs to create. Is that deliberate? The teas are quite powerful, acting like potions with metamagic effects, and I think they should cost more than just GP.

A funny thing happened on the way to the Dungeon

I use that in my campaign also. I have a few NPC adventuring groups rolled up, and if my group doesn't go after the plot hooks I lay out I roll a percentage chance that another group came in and cleaned out the dungeon, killed the BBEG, etc.

    Dire Man

There's a discussion of the dire template on this thread http://www.enworld.org/showthread.php?t=4281 I've seen the template, but I can't find it in my files, so I didn't copy it, and Google didn't help much. Sorry :( .

What have you done to REALLY make your players hate an NPC?

Three of my PCs "gave lip" to a group of 6 NPC adventurers that were a few levels higher than them, got knocked out, stripped naked, shaved, and their gear put in a sack and hung over the cave entrance of a bear. Since the PCs were only about 3rd level, their gear wasn't considered valuable...

Heh, heh, oops :heh: . I guess I didn't look as closely as I should have. Thanks.

    Running Gags

Got another quote from a player in last nights game thats sure to be a running gag. The fighter character has dedicated himself to Pelor, and after going to a local magic shop he went to a temple of Pelor for a blessing. While there he wanted to know if they had anything he could get to help...

    Clerical based golems

Yeah, but I'm looking for the spells a cleric would need to make golems. Like this: That's the kind of help I'm looking for :) . I showed it to my cleric player and he was delighted  . Thanks.

    Clerical based golems

All golem types I've been able to find can only be created by arcane spellcasters. The problem is, I have a cleric in my game that wants to make golems to protect his temple. Can anyone help?

DMs - How are you set up?

We used to play set up around my livingroom, but moved to the table to curb cheating. I don't use a DM screen, I make nearly all rolls out in the open. I have a card table set to my left with 'lots' of supplements, my DM screen (for the few times I need to roll secretly), and several plastic...

    Scar Ripper

No convincing needed, just got caught up in RL. Scar Ripper (Necromancy) Level: Sor/Wiz 4 Components: V, S Casting Time: 1 standard action Range: short 25 feet + 5 feet per level Target: one creature Duration: 1 round per level or 1 round (see text) Saving Throw: Fort Partial Spell...

    Scar Ripper

Hmmm, save every round? Sounds good, I'll consider it. If the character has never lost HPs, what is the DM doing wrong? Seriously, thats really unlikely, but if it should happen I'd say the spell just fails on that character. Ranged touch attack and a set duration? Maybe on the ranged...

    Descibe your homebrew setting

Well, my homebrew is based off of DnDChicks Furries and Fantasy: The World of Fauna. http://members.aol.com/CountryGrrlHere/fauna.html However, my wife wanted to play a hummingbird, so I had to come up with general ability score modifiers for birds. Geography: I've been lazy, so I've just...

Post-game to collaboratively design a new monster: Morrusant

Special Quality 1: Tremorsense. A bfdrhrrr can automatically sense the location of anything within 30 feet that is in contact with the ground. As a DM I like to make sure that invisible PCs get their fair share of combat :D .

    Scar Ripper

I think that works great. Scar Ripper (Necromancy) Level: Sor/Wiz 4 Components: V, S Casting Time: 1 standard action Range: short 25 feet + 5 feet per level Target: one creature Duration: 1 round per level or 1 round (see text) Saving Throw: Fort Partial Spell Resistance: Yes This spell...

    Rules for Making Hybrid Monsters

The name of the book is Encyclopedia Arcane: Crossbreeding. And you're right, it is by Mongoose. It shows how to determine traits and ability scores, has magic items specifically for crossing creatures and some sample monsters. It only cost $15, so I consider it a bargain. It came out in...

    Scar Ripper

Actually, if the party has a cleric, anyone affected will only take damage for 1 - 2 rounds tops. I put that in there so it wouldn't be lethal. Even if a party doesn't have a cleric, I've decided that any healing effect; spell, potion, psionic power, will end the spell effect. That said, here...
