Just a bit silly - Bunny (and variations)

You've seen them lurking in peoples signatures, looking cute, undead or just plain weird. Here are all the one's I could find (I have way too much free time). What others are out there? (\_/) (O.o) This is Bunny. Copy Bunny to your signature (> <) to help him achieve world domination (\...

Spending Experience Points to Buy Feats

I was teasing. I know whats GURPS is, though I've never played.

Spending Experience Points to Buy Feats

If you're going to have them buy feats and maybe skills, why not consider making the game levelless, and have the PCs spend XP on everything - hit points, attack bonus, ability score increase? Of course then you have the problem of matching critter CR to party strength :\ .

    Dagger of true theft

You make some good points, I wouldn't want to play a high level character if all I get to kill are low level critters. So, you inspired me to do some research (thank you :) ) and I came up with something very interesting. Looking at Table 2-44: NPC Gear Value in the 3.0 DMG p. 58 shows the...

Costs for hiring npc as advenutres

I just dealt with that in my last game session. The players hired a 1st level fighter at 144 GP per level per year. I used Table 5-2 in the 3.0 DMG, p.149, Prices for hirling services. Where it says Mercenary 1 SP per day. I figure any NPC hired would count basically as a mercenary. Hope...

    Dagger of true theft

OK, how about this: the stolen ability can only be used one time. After that the dagger is "empty" and must be used to make the killing blow on another creature to steal another ability. Also, I would like to point out that the DM doesn't have to put in creatures with Wish, or send Bodaks...

    Dagger of true theft

OK, what if the dagger is limited to stealing spells and spell-like abilities or supernatural abilities of no greater than 2nd or 3rd level?

    Dagger of true theft

Dagger of true theft When used to make the killing blow, this dagger can steal a single spell, spell-like ability or supernatural ability from the victim and grant it to the wielder. So long as the dagger remains in the possession of the wielder it confers that stolen power as a spell-like...

Does your group send session reminders?

I run my game every other week at my home, and another DM runs his game on my off week, also at my home. I take notes on my game and a few days before the next session I email everyone with what happened. I don't tell them every thing I have in my notes of course :), just what was publically...

How long have you been a DM?

I've been gaming for 11 years and DMing for 10 years. The first Whose game I played in did a really crappy job, and no one was happy with the things that happened and the way it ended, and I knew I could do better, so I just sort of took over. Am I a good DM? Well, all I can say about that...

    Anti-aging spell

You should probably state that the mental stats (Int, Wis, Chr) are not changed by the spell since they are changed over time by experienceand working to improve them, and the physical stats are only changed by aging and working to improve them.

    Epic spell - Clone Circuit

Jester, thanks for the development :) . I like the casting time especially, it keeps it from being a cast every day type spell. Players that use this would be just as likely to protect a clone body sent out adventuring as they would their original body.

    Memory Lane

I was first introduced to D&D at age 19. We spent an entire day creating characters (everyone but the DM were N00Bs), and then didn't play :( . I didn't find another group to game with until I was 27, but I've been playing with them for the past 11 years, and running my own campaigns for 10 or...

Sorceror or Warlock? (For my wife)

Then you'll really be jealous of me ;) . I met my wife through gaming because her nephew gamed with us and she wanted to make sure we weren't "weird people".

Looking for alternatives to divine healing

You might want to let your players bump up their hit points. I allow my players to spend 50 XP per HP every time they gain a level to buy their HPs up to maximum. I got that from someone else's house rules, but don't remember exactly where right now. I know it doesn't deal with non-divine...

    Epic spell - Clone Circuit

Thanks for bringing that up, I should probably state the spell doesn't work across planar boundaries. Edit: by the way, the only way to get 10 clones is to be 100th level.

    Epic spell - Clone Circuit

Ever need to be in two places at once? Well, now a high level mage can get nearly that effect with this spell. Unfortunately, I suck at figuring out how an epic spell is researched, so any feedback is appreaciated. Clone Circuit (Alteration, Evocation) Level Epic Range: touch Components...

    Death Penalty
