If your group didn't like 4e...

The groups that I am involved with are sticking with 3.5 for the time being. In one of the groups we tried out 4th Edition for a couple of sessions. We generally thought it was OK but none of us liked it enough to switch. If any of my groups were going to switch to something else, it would...

    Your first adventure

Keep on the Borderlands was my first adventure. I played a Basic D&D elf whose name escapes me. It was the summer of 1981. I was totally hooked after I rolled the dice and rolled high enough to hit and dispatch the first 3 orcs that attacked me. Unfortunately, my brave elf was eventually...

    Tropic Thunder

Very funny movie. There were people laughing out load in the theater when I watched it. I particularly loved the Apocalypse Now parody and Tom Cruise was awesome. I am not a Jack Black fan at all but I even found him entertaining.

    Saw Hellboy II at preview

I saw it on Sunday and I thought it was pretty darn good. Good story with some awesome visuals. I liked it about as much as I liked the Hulk but not as much as I liked Iron Man. I would definitely give it a thumbs up.

    Top Secret...

I played Top Secret when I was in Jr. High School. It was a blast. One thing I do remember though was that friends and I figured out was that Top Secret was a lot more deadly than D&D was. One shot lucky head shot could take out your character permanently. When I GMed, my friends also...

How were you first introduced to D&D?

That version was my introduction as well. I saw some guys playing it a Boy Scout camp, thought it was really cool and I went out and bought it the first chance I got.

Ever quit a gaming group because of another player?

Yes. I have. It was someone that I dated that I ended up despising.

    The Incredible Hulk

I just got back from watching this and I thought it was pretty darn good. I wouldn't rate it as highly as Iron Man or the first two Spider Man movies but still pretty darn good. There were plenty of nods to the TV series and the big fight scene at the end between the Hulk and the Abomination...

What do you make and what do you do?

I am a software test. Many (but not all) of the people I play with have computer related jobs either in software development or network administration. As a note, I got my last 3 jobs from contacts that I made through gaming.
