Fortunately, my iconic clerics use heavy shields and spiked gauntlets, neatly avoiding that problem. :)
Thanks for the replies, everyone. I've been very interested to see the directions in which the arguments have gone.
As silly as the place is, by the criteria of the vote I can't see Union losing. How can a place where the city guard is epic level possibly lose in a fight with anything short of Dis?
Hi, all!
One of my players in an upcoming campaign is looking at a duskblade, and we're having a bit of a dispute over the use of a greatsword with its Arcane Channeling class feature. It is my contention that if he is casting a spell with a somatic component he must have a hand free to do so...
I too had parsed it as "Weird Times, Square Toilets" and had assumed that a comma was left out. It was only just now when I said "Oh! Times SQUARE! As in New York!"
Feh, it's Yankee country. A pox on it.
True enough, but the complaints about a service provider monopoly indicated to me that he was having problems with permissions rather than LOS or similar issues.
The FCC may have something to say about that.

Do you have a balcony or patio or some similar area for your exclusive use from which you could see the satellite? Then you should be good to go (EDIT: if I'm reading this right...
Eh, I was like 8 at the time. That sort of thing sticks with ya. It's nice that she survived and all, but did they really need to bring us live coverage of the rescue and thus interrupt the climactic fight scene between Lt. Yar and the wife of the planet-of-the-week's leader?
I must be one of the few people who thinks the "Heidi" call was a good one. Games have an allotted time slot, and if they can't stick to them then it's not the broadcasters' fault.
Maybe I'm just bitter about having WAY too many shows preempted in favor of sports games. I'm still irked at that...
Well, it's better than what I remember from previous editions. I seem to recall being able to automatically kill a helpless person, rather than them having a chance of survival through a saving throw.
I had a lot of fun with that. One interesting thing about the spell is that it gives the target a penalty, which means that it can affect beings that would otherwise be unharmed by ability damage (e.g. undead, constructs).
Oh, be prepared for someone in the group to try to use the "The target's...
It's really too bad you live a couple of thousand miles away. He's cute! 'Course, I suspect we wouldn't be allowed to have a goat in our apartment, but still...
Hi, all.
I was looking at the Awaken spell, and wondering how the +2 HD given to a creature would affect its CR. Would it be affected as though using the animal's advancement scheme, as class levels, or in some other fashion? Thanks!
I'm pretty sure there's a 5th or 6th-level Artificer infusion that acts as a Raise Dead for constructs. Either that or Wish/Miracle, I suppose.
What's the moral of this story? Once you get brought back, don't take that 5th Juggernaut level again! :)
Edit: having taken a look, I guess I was...
Eh, you can stop after 6. The rest of the series really pales in comparison (though I haven't played X-2, 11, or 12, so there's room for unexpected/unreported coolness, I suppose).
