Domains of Delight: An In-Depth Review

Well this looks fun! I can see lots of fey trouble brewing in the vicinity of Waymoot in the King's Forest of Cormyr.

    D&D 5E (2024) "The Future of D&D" (New Core Books in 2024!)

I like how they're using Magic card art for the monsters in Monsters of the Multiverse.

I should buy this set for my local library as a late Christmas present.

D&D 5E (2014) The 4 premier sets of Magic the Gathering 2022 are announced, speculation whether they will crossover with D&D

Ooh! This looks fun. I love playing all artifact decks. On the other hand, cyber stuff kills the vibe for me when it comes to playing Magic because, well, it's not magic. No matter. If there's fun to be had from it then I will find it. I trust others will, too.

D&D 5E (2014) Blogatog: "[AFR is] looking to be one of the best-selling sets in the history of the game."

I sure hope it is! AFR already has a bunch of dragons in it. It'd be cool to have dragon battles during the course of a game.

D&D 5E (2014) No more D&D MtG Premier Sets (Blogatog & State of the Game sources)

Interesting. I never saw one complaint over the lack of an Elminster card. As for AFR, I'm having a blast with the set. The d20 mechanic is super fun, as are several of the cards in the set (Teleporation Circle, Delina, the Class enchantments, Venturing Into the Dungeon, etc.). I'd like to...

    D&D 5E (2014) Dungeons and Dragons WotC survey August 9th, 2021

For me, about 60% of the survey was Magic questions. I didn't expect that.

D&D 5E (2014) WotC Is Designing Adventures With Shorter Content Chunks

Smaller adventures fit together like Lego bricks. Put another way, it’s easier to select the next adventure for a campaign when you have more adventures to choose from.

    D&D 5E (2014) Cubicle 7 Shares Victoriana’s New Cover

I love this style of art. I'd put this book on a coffee table, if I had a coffee table.

D&D General Adventuring Company Names and What They Are Up To

And #10 on the latest list of ten adventuring company names: The Beached Brawlers The Goose of Doom, in Suzail, is home to this band of ex-Blue Dragons turned adventurers. (The tavern is exclusive to Blue Dragons both current and former.) Unlike their tavern-kin, the Beached Brawlers hold a...

RPG Print News – Gaming Paper, Gale Force Nine, WizKids, and More

Sure wish they offered a vinyl version of Schley's Cormyr map. I'd snap that up in a heartbeat.

D&D 5E (2014) 5th Edition and Cormyr: Flexing My Idea Muscle and Thinking Out Loud

Some years ago I had an idea for a ballad about the death of Lord Woodbrand, once a King's Lord of Waymoot in Cormyr. He was beloved by his people, kept the peace by means of his wisdom and his prodigious strength. His death brought the place low and Waymoot hasn't really recovered since. (See...

D&D 5E (2014) Do You Prefer Sandbox or Party Level Areas In Your Game World?

Heh. My definition of 'sandbox' is your 'party' definition. I don't think of parts of the map as being set to a certain danger or difficulty vs. character level. To me it's all dangerous. (Regardless of party level.) I do think of different parts of the map as having different amounts of...

D&D 5E (2014) 5th Edition and Cormyr: Flexing My Idea Muscle and Thinking Out Loud

No doubt some of you are aware of the village of Wormtower, in Cormyr. A place so named for a ruin in the village center, one comprised of the bones of a long dead dragon, the bones of an equally long dead wizard, the cracked and broken remnants of stone pillars and rubble, and magical treasures...

D&D General Adventuring Company Names and What They Are Up To

Continuing with the newest list of ten adventuring company names, here is #9 on the list: 9. The Tempest Maidens of the Thunder Peaks Active over the last decade among the storm-ravaged tors of the Thunder Peaks, this unchartered adventuring band has been sighted only a handful of times...
