The Drakewarden was basically just them patching the Beast Master. Now that that is fixed, they likely see the Drakewarden as treading the same territory.

Given that we still have 4 missing Wizard subclasses from the 2014 PHB, my guess is Bladesinger got in the FR book so they could avoid using space in the Tasha's book for it, instead giving that space to the other missing Wizard subclasses.

The flavor text in the UA suggests these PDK's are special compared to the standard PDK, in that they bond with dragons at birth. Leaves room for the standard PDK being your average Fighter on top of the new options.

Personally I love the new PDK. Fighters having a Pet Class is cool, and the Battle Master can already do a battle field commander archetype. So let the PDK have a more unique niche like being a dragon rider.

Don’t get excited for that. It’s likely just internal pages he printed for the video presentation. I doubt they plan to sell a paperback version.

Literally the first feature of each subclass lets them do this for the item type they specialize in. It’s in there, my guy.
