CB's Grim Frequencies AP OOC -- COMPLETE

Yeah, I've had a great time playing with you guys. I'm pretty easy when it comes to settings/systems. I've just jumped into an online EotE game, and I'm a huge Star Wars nut, so really looking forward to that. I've run a few games of it, but this be the first time I've played outside of...

Well, this should be fun... :)

CB's Grim Frequencies IC -- COMPLETE

T-dawg mutely takes the gun from JR and unthinkingly stuffs it in the back of his pants.

Unless someone orders him otherwise, T-dawg sits numbly in the basement, minding the leftovers...

CB's Grim Frequencies IC -- COMPLETE

Once T-dawg has finished helping Marks with Esmerelda, he confirms he doesn't need any more assistance and if not proceeds to help J.R. with moving the thing. At least if that remains the plan... The whole time, he seems to be acting in some sort of Zombie-like state of shock, replaying the...

CB's Grim Frequencies IC -- COMPLETE

He'll use his actions from the previous round to do this... probably no rolls needed to restrain Esmerelda, but just in case here they are (T-dawg is no longer fatigued): Touch attack: [roll0] (assumed additional +4 as she is prone) Grapple check: [roll1] (assume assistance from Marks on this...

CB's Grim Frequencies IC -- COMPLETE

T-dawg rushes over and helps Marks to hold Esmerelda still, averting his eyes from her ravaged body the whole time. He croons in an oddly soft voice "Shhh... it'll be alright.. just hold still and Marks will sort you out". Those watching aren't sure whether he's trying to comfort Esmerelda or...

CB's Grim Frequencies IC -- COMPLETE

T-dawg rushes after the thing, throwing open the toilet stall door, "You're not gonna get away that easy", he says, grabbing at the Thrall and trying to pull it back into the room. We'll stick with essentially the same action and rolls - with an added move to close with the thing before the...

CB's Grim Frequencies AP OOC -- COMPLETE

T-dawg probably *can* use the knife somewhat effectively (I imagine it's a simple weapon, so he is proficient and has a Str bonus)... but he isn't going to without a compelling reason (like his hands being ineffective against it). His first instinct is to use his hands. :)

Help me with my X-Wing-based RPG/Privateer-type thing!

Sounds cool. You could check out Heroes of the Aturi Cluster, a co-operative campaign version of X-wing. It's written from a Rebel player perspective, but you could probably borrow a lot of the advancement rules.

Ok, not spending any APs then, and seems it is free to wreck mayhem

CB's Grim Frequencies IC -- COMPLETE

I believe I get to see it's roll (as the one attempting to escape, it rolls first) before I decide whether to spend that first AP (assuming again that it attempts to escape), and I'm not going to bother spending an AP on the second roll. Not too much difference between a 9 and a 13...

CB's Grim Frequencies IC -- COMPLETE

"Uh... no... not really... at least not... for anything... other than cooking...", T-dawg manages to gasp in response to D0 in between ragged breaths. Grabbing the two tentacles tight, he attempts to bodily drag the thing into the back of the bathroom stall, ready to beat a retreat once everyone...

Yeah, all good. My weekend is coming up, and I'll probably be fairly sluggish for the next 48 hours or so as I'm moving house.

CB's Grim Frequencies IC -- COMPLETE

T-dawg's brow breaks into a sweat, but despite his best efforts to hold the creature, his fatigued limbs can't manage to keep a grip. It swarms free, a mass of squamous tentacles and body parts that look like they belong on the inside. In desperation, he throws his body at the creature again...

CB's Grim Frequencies IC -- COMPLETE

Ok, so looks like the net result (manged bbcode and all), is that the thrall breaks free of T-dawgs grasp, but then he attempts to grab it again, using the following touch attack (and possibly AP). Forgot I'd need one of those as well... Touch Attack: [roll0] Touch Attack AP: [roll1] (Apologies...

CB's Grim Frequencies IC -- COMPLETE

In his current state, T-dawg could conceivably just hit a 30 with a good roll and an action point... let's see (AP will only be used if the initial roll is high enough that he could conceivably succeed): Grapple: [roll0] AP: 1d6] Assuming that fails, we'll slightly restate his action to be...

CB's Grim Frequencies IC -- COMPLETE

Gasping for breath after the exertion of pulling Esmerelda out of the... thing... T-dawg nods grimly to Feral and interposes himself between it and the others. He holds onto it for dear life, happy to take a few rounds of beating to keep the others safe. Ok, I'm not going to spend that AP to...

CB's Grim Frequencies IC -- COMPLETE

I want a really high roll this round, so lets go ahead and spend the AP to make the result fairly ridiculous - a 28. However, I'm running low on AP, so depending on the result I may not spend the AP to negate the fatigue from Action Surge. Seems sensible that wrestling with an evil octopus thing...
