    I'd say the process of killing the Beholder punctured or burst the buoyant part, so you end up with a deflated Beholder corpse on the ground. The floating Beholder graveyard is a cool visual, though.

    I use the 2500 multiplier for Insight, Sacred, and Profane bonuses. As these are generally less common, they will tend to stack with other bonuses the character has, so I price them at the highest multiplier.

    Glass would not block darkness. The spell states that a light-proof container blocks the spell. Glass is not light-proof. Glass does block line of effect, though.
