    FanExpo 2009 August 28-30, Toronto

Well this is the first I've heard of it. A quick shoot over to the Silver Snails website only dug up some comments on last years event. So is it Friday? Saturday? etc. apppreciate any more details. Glad to here that another person is making it to the con.

    FanExpo 2009 August 28-30, Toronto

Out of curiosity what have you run in the past, did you get a good 'crowd'? If anyone is interesting in volunteering and running some board games and RPGs with a games company (Polymancer, their website seems to be down at the moment or I'd link) the one I'm volunteering with is still looking...

[3.5] A Dark and Stormy Night

Dacen pauses, chews his lip and closes the curtain. He turns to the others and whispers "Some rite seems to be taking place beyond my line of sight in some kind of sacrophagus. Norim pass me your sword." Taking the blade in hand Dacen cast magic weapon upon it. It begins to shed a faint glow...

    FanExpo 2009 August 28-30, Toronto

So who else is plannning on attending the FanExpo? This is actually my first time going and I'll be volunteering with a games company and will be running some board games and an RPG session or two. (Working out the details on the RPG sessions right now.) Anybody else been there before, or have...

    EN Worlders Open Playtesting?

Thanks Guillaume. Looking forward to hearing what you think, and how those encounters play out. I found guessing at the CR for an 'average group' to be fairly difficult. Anybody have some thoughts on getting CR's right as a writer? Or from playtesting things?

[Defunct] A Dark and Stormy Night

Well the contest is on going, there's a rolling monthly deadline so you should give it a whirl. Chris Terengza(not sure if I just spelt the last name right) who runs 6d6 Fireball gives some really useful feedback at all steps through the process. Anywho, looking forward to hearing what you...

[3.5] A Dark and Stormy Night

Listens for a moment the breaks into a jog. He holds the torch aloft while grabbing for his mace, his eyes and ears strainning to determine both the direction of the cries and for potential pitfalls. Spot and listen (1d20+2=16, 1d20+2=22)

    EN Worlders Open Playtesting?

Apparently all the pathfinder playtesters are all tired out by talking about it for so long ;). Unfortunately, the open playtest of the Sanctum of the Fiery Ladder has yet to generate any feedback:-S.

Big Collaborative Dungeon Thing at The Delver's Dungeon!

Well this is certainly an interesting project. Nothing immediately springs to mind but I mean to keep my eyes on its development, and my brain turning over ideas. Hopefully something small will pop in to mind in a month or so.

[Defunct] A Dark and Stormy Night

Graybeard, your comment in game struck me as absolutely hilarious. Something about the (normally) timid Dacen jumping down the column, then I picture this exasperated look on your characters face. As an aside, I hope you do all check out the adventure in my sig. I'm really excited about it...

    OotS #672 is up!

Gotta love the evolution thats taken place in all the characters in this book. It will be interesting to see how the funny is brought on with all the character changes. And good for Rich taking some time off. He deserves it.

    Writer announcing adventures release?

Thanks Morrus, I'll be sure to keep that tone in mind if I do start up a thread. Also thanks for starting that thread Mark. Interesting to see where that will go.

    EN Worlders Open Playtesting?

As the playtest of the adventure I wrote just began (And I'm pretty excited about it.) I don't have a great deal of insight in the whole matter. So I too am curious about how many people have participated in open-playtesting, on both sides of the people doing the playtesting/having your stuff...

    Writer announcing adventures release?

So . . . it depends. I'll elaborate. 6d6 fireball has just released its first adventure writing competition winning .pdf. (Of which I am the authour.) This adventure, the Sanctum of the Fiery Ladder, has just become available for free download as part of an open-playtest. I was thinking of...

    Writer announcing adventures release?

Would it be considered appropriate for a writer to announce the release of their adventure in the general forums? I don't think I've seen this done before. Is it convention for writers to not talk about their products until a fan brings it up? And yes the publisher (6d6fireball) has already...

[3.5] A Dark and Stormy Night

"This is a stroke of fortune. Clearly St Cuthbert is speeding our steps, have you ever taken a secret passage that did not lead somewhere of import?" Not waiting for the others, Dacen hands the torch to Normin boldly climbs down the rungs, and waits for the torch to be past down. "Come, let...

Tell me about your favorite game store

Wow, this I gotta see. If only I had a car I'd be tempted to jump in it and go right now. One of these days . . . Thanks a lot for the heads up on this one.
