It’s never went well when I did it. You need player buy in in any game and throwing that away is to lose a valuable thing.

Nice! I never use the encounter rules for planing encounters. I just eyeball the monster’s damage output/HP and wing it.

I used to hate FR. I thought it was a homogeneous, generic place that paled next to Athas or Ravenloft. But I think it’s safe to say I’m a complete convert, now. There’s so much stuff to do! As many layers as you need and all the tiers are covered. Glad I woke up to the Realms 👍
