    Twighlight Tomb Question

Directly from the adventure: "Heroes should advance at least one level during the adventure and perhaps two by its conclusion."

How Many 3.X Books In Your Collection?

I think I only have a few hundred minis. I'm at work now so I cannot check the exact numbers. I would have more, but I lost all my trades a couple of months back.

How Many 3.X Books In Your Collection?

All of them. Except for Twilight Tomb, Dragon Magic and Faiths of Eberron. This shall be rectified tomorrow.

What books did you use last session?

Well, apart from the core books... Expanded Psionics Handbook (One of the PCs is a gnome telepath.) Planar Handbook (Planescape campaign. This one sees use.) The Great Modron March (The adventure I'm currently running.) Deities & Demigods (Had a cleric of Set I needed the domains for.) Lords of...

Help, cant connect to IRC server

Neither can I. The server has probably crashed, for reasons unknown to me. We had a crash last night, too, but got over it pretty fast. Perhaps Bynw could shed light on the subject...

    Ceramic DM -- Fall '06 ** yangnome wins! **

Thanks. I liked yours, too. Reminds me, in part, of Robert Silverberg's short story "Dancers in the Time-Flux". This, I think, is a good thing. Now, I just hope someone can spot and appreciate all the references to D&D mythology that I put there to amuse myself.

    Ceramic DM -- Fall '06 ** yangnome wins! **

And here's Hellefire's noggin on a stick, too. Sorry, couldn't find a silver platter. I seem to have made some errors in the picture placement. Picture 1 should be Picture 3 and I forgot to mention where Picture 1 makes an appearance, but I hope the judges can figure that one out themselves.

    Ceramic DM -- Fall '06 ** yangnome wins! **

The Cure The golden disk of the sun crawled with painstaking slowness over the distant line of the horizon. Thanks to the strategic placements of window, bed, and pillow, it shone directly into Alambur’s eyes, promptly dragging him up from the blissful depths of sleep and into the waking world...

Any interest in a Monster Compendium?

My suggestion would be to compile Monster Compendium: Monsters of Faerûn and as many monsters from the early 3.0 issues of Dragon and Dungeon that haven't been reprinted elsewhere into a big hardcover. Maybe throw in a little something from Oriental Adventures, Ghostwalk and the other 3.0 FR...

    Blood Wars Minis

Although, to be honest, there are precious few armours in Planescape that don't make you look like you're trying to impersonate a very broad-shouldered porcupine. Planescape minis are good news. Let's hope we'll get modrons next.

I have seen the pictures. A story will be delivered, three days hence, accompanied by the severed heads of those who oppose me. On the noon of the third day, look to the north.

    Skill points as a reward...

I occasionally give them conditional bonuses as rewards. Say, they clean out the giant rats from the innkeeper's basement, and get on the bartender's good side, and thenceforth will have, say, a +2 circumstance bonus to Gather Information checks in that city. Never freebie skill points, though.

    PHBII Classes in Forgotten Realms?

Indeed, I'm not trying to sell it. If you don't like the class, suit yourself. I am merely offering my own interpretation of how the class might be inserted into the Realms. Trying to offer examples of how the knight class hasn't been a part of the Realms before isn't really going to achieve...

    PHBII Classes in Forgotten Realms?

The PHBII Knight is a knight, such as might be found in the service of any lord of Cormyr, or indeed, as the lord himself. The prestige classes represent knights of specific orders. Unless each lord of the Forest Kingdom should have a prestige class of his own, there is no conflict. Most of the...

    PHBII Classes in Forgotten Realms?

Mmh... I think base classes should be as general and widely available as possible. Beguilers are much like dread necromancers and warmages. They are highly specialised arcane casters, and more or less indistinguishable from your average specialist wizard or the correct school. I see no reason...

Do your PCs' actions carry over into your next campaign?

Yes. I maintain a cross-campaign timeline file on my computer that has the events of my campaigns at different times in different worlds. Occasionally, it comes to pass that the trails cross, and there will be perhaps a chance to witness the destruction wrought by characters of the previous...

Dungeons & Dragons Rules Cyclopedia (1991) has Steve Perrin in the acknowledgements section. Plus he has cover credit with Ed Greenwood in The Magister, which also isn't shown on his Pen & Paper profile.
