    D&D as Space Opera

There was a pretty great Spacecraft supplement ages ago called Blood and Space by Charles Rice that sounds like it might suit your needs. No idea if it's available, but take a look around for it.

    Suggestions for a caravan campaign?

Totally agree...awesome book. Also, if you can find a copy of GURPS 3rd edition, theres a terrific Caravan Adventure in the back of the core book called A Caravan to Ein Arris. Run that if you can.

    What should the Realms Lose?

I'm not certain it needs to "lose" anything. I mean, Forgotten Realms is mindbendingly popular. I personally don't have much use for it, but it seems that I am in the vast minority. I'm not sure why--with a half million other settings out there--one that is found to be superior by the...

Canadian $ at parity! I'm loaded and looking to buy PDFs!

I agree with this one. It might well be the high point of Bastion Press's already pretty great catalogue.

Canadian $ at parity! I'm loaded and looking to buy PDFs!

Buy the Numbers from ST Cooley Publishing is pretty great. Any of the Campaign Planners from Ronin Arts are wildly worth the money as well.

    Best single volume RPG?

It would've got my vote over Spycraft but for that one reason as well. Good call.

    Best single volume RPG?

Spycraft 2.0 It's good for everything. Seriously. The rules themselves show you exactly how to easily make the game into everything from Old West to Cyberpunk:) Not just one of my favorite "One Book" rulesets, but one of my favorite rulesets period.

    What Interests You Non-Upgraders

I'd probably be interested in Campaign Settings--I almost always am--but honestly, the true answer is that I probably have most everything I need.

    Edith Hamilton on D&D Settings

While I'm sure my answer could change in a few months, right now the answer is Points of Light. I've been really inspired by Kiznit's use of Wilderlands of High Fantasy to make a campaign along those lines.

"....so we tossed the jerk out...."

He was one of kind. Awesome mentor, excellent friend, great drinking buddy, terrific writer (RPG and otherwise) and a top-flight gamer. He's missed.

4th edition: Return of the Groundlings An Open Letter of Thanks to WoTC

Man, I am against anything that keeps Kenson away from M&M:) But yeah, Vigilance on D20 Modern is almost a no-brainer.

    capping D&D at 5th level?

I've never been able to make D&D work particularly well with the "Most people are NPC Classes or First level" paradigm in play. SHARK really opened my eyes way back when he said that he just did away with it all and started running a really high-powered campaign. So...you know who's 1stlevel...

    Modernist and Postmodernist RPGs?

I hear Nobilis constantly referred to as postmodern. After that, my understanding of Postmodernism and Nobilis drops off sharply. So there you go: An utterly unhelpful post. Consider it a Bump...and you're welcome:)

Tell me about your best (and worst) campaign endings

The worst, well, let's just say there are a lot of ties for first place in this category, including... The Rokugan game where the conspiracy was so deep and convoluted that--as the finale was happening around us--we were left going "Who is that guy?" and "Why is she trying to kill Chin Wu?" or...

    mindless eating at games

We usually order in Chinese food or Pizza. I can't recall anyone requesting that we abstain from any certain item.
