When you can push an opponent on hit because of 2 reasons

This is one of those situations where it really is up to interpretation more than anything. So: does counting it as separate effects (thus triggering multiple Draconic Arrogance damage hits) increase the total amount of fun at the table? If so, you already know the answer to your question. ;)

Need a 'ranged' weapon for my Warden.

If you're not set on the Khopesh, easiest solution is to switch to a heavy thrown weapon. (All magic thrown weapons return to the wielder after resolving the attack.)

D&D 4E In D&D 4e, is there any ability by Enemies that will silence a caster?

4e strongly tries to avoid the older "your character sucks for this combat" - thus, for example, there aren't whole categories of enemies immune to magic or Sneak Attack, as there were in previous editions. As far as I know, there aren't any monsters that care about power source at all.

    D&D 4E 4e Wizard Retromix

The Essentials Mage gets to spellbook his encounter attack powers, and there's always the Expanded Spellbook feat. I'm not sure what you mean by "casting times that are more feasible" for utility powers - I don't think there's any utilities that take more time than a standard action, and many of...

D&D 4E [4E only] What kind of miniatures do you use, if any?

Up until recently we were using horribly mismatched minis - every fight featured "the snake dude", "the guy in the robe", "the dwarf", and "the orc with the hammer" filling the roles of the various monsters. PCs had somewhat more representational minis, but they still weren't great. I helped the...

    Backstab and free action timing.

Note that the HotFL reworded Backstab from the Red Box version, making it much clearer (to me at least) that you activate Backstab before the attack roll.

    New Essentials Builds!

Oh heck yes, staff thief for the win. Once this hits CB I'm rebuilding one of my older characters to a thief rather than monk. Also my dragon sorcerer needs that War Wizard's Staff feat, but he's really starved for feats right now. :erm:

Player wants to be a Lich

On the other hand, that's the only method of healing he has, and he needs to worry a lot about being caught in the cleric's field of fire. Turn Undead's not so great when a PC is one of them... Our campaign's a bit high on the power scale for our level, but within that context it's worked pretty...

Essentials feats seem a little too good?

Reading through the Essentials, one thing that struck me was that everything in it was a really solid option - All of the feats and powers elicited a "hey, that's pretty cool" (and some of the wizard powers earned a "DUDE THAT'S AWESOME") ; nary a "meh" in the lot. The feats, in particular...

Player wants to be a Lich

One of the characters in the campaign I'm playing in involuntarily became a lich at one point. The DM and I worked out stuff for him. As I recall, it was: * Undead keyword. * No healing surges. * Regeneration 10 (suppressed by sunlight and radiant damage). * Vulnerable 10 radiant. * Immune to...

    Assassin Feedback

Problem: This is not how the current rules work, with regard to extra damage and damage rolls. Attack Finesse is classified as "extra damage" in the Assassin playtest document. Furthermore, I believe it's been established (in a recent rules update or FAQ, to deal with the Magic...

What other Essentialized classes do you want?

I'm very impressed with the Executioner Assassin. Of the classes that most "want" an essentials reworking that we've not seen yet, most of them are getting covered in HotFK. Essentials seems to be mostly focusing on the "classic" classes, which means that of the remaining unvisited classes...

Rotating area bursts to be off-grid

This is in personal rules-interpretation territory, but I'd say yes (and have played things this way in several games). This has become an especially important question to answer now that we're in Paragon and combat is substantially more 3D. It's my understanding that as of Essentials the mount...

    Calculating Bonus Damage

The Effect line does get the damage bonus. It is a damage roll that is part of a Weapon power, and thus the enhancement bonus of the weapon you use with it applies. See also the wizard at-will Storm Pillar, which is an Implement power and thus applies the implement's enhancement bonus to damage...

Rotating area bursts to be off-grid

Geometrically speaking, a circle is defined as the set of points that are a certain distance from a center point. An area burst N is circular - it includes all squares that are N or fewer squares away from the origin square. In 4e battle-grid geometry, all circles are also squares, but not all...

Ray of Frost, Scorching Burst and Phantom Bolt are Dead

Scorching Burst: Area burst 2 within 10. Ray of Frost: Effect: The target is slowed until the end of your next turn. Phantom Bolt: You slide the target 3 squares.

    Assassin Feedback

As written, you can apply the poison to the blowgun itself instead of the darts, and it will then last for the encounter.

    I am rolling ze dices!

Can we get Fudge dice? Edit: Oh. "We will be adding new functionality very soon - including dice pools, exploding dice, FATE dice, drop-the-lowest, and more..." Good to hear. :D

    Monster Design: Madness

How far do you want to push the mechanical envelope? I think a Mad Awakening disease would be fun, which includes the following effect: "When you make an attack against a creature's Will defense, or are targeted by an attack against your Will defense, the attack misses if it would otherwise hit...
