    Creating a "channel divinity feat"

Great work DracoSuave. I like the feat and all the reasoning behind it's design.

Racial Powers: For those houseruling Weapon/Implement Expertise as 'free feats'

Along the Expertise fix I also grant weapon/implement bonuses and Free Expertise bonuses to all attacks: Bull Rush, Racial Powers, etc. That's to keep them useful as levels go up. As you mentioned.

Do Powers that count as 'Melee Basic' also work on charge?

Being Basic Attack is strictly better than "can be used in a charge"

My Batch of Homebrew Errata for the Player's Handbook

Deft Strike as a Basic attack? Sure? I can move 2 during a charge attack or an OA?

My Batch of Homebrew Errata for the Player's Handbook

I like a LOT of those changes. Although it's too much change for my taste and it's a problem with the Character Builder.

    Area and close attacks

Let me put it another way: A power that deals 10 fire damage is not assumed to be less powerful than a power that deals 6 fire damage and then 4 fire damage. Yet, against a creature that is vulnerable against fire, one is clearly more powerful than the other, for no apparent reason.

    Question on trap countermeasures?

If the countermeasures are obvious, I describe them because I'm counting on them to try them. If the countermeasures are not obvious, I ask for an appropiate check to reveal it. In this case I may announce that one of the things you can do is to spend a [Standard, Move or Minor] action to...

    Area and close attacks

That ruling, though correct, brings a problem: Powers with a certaing keyword that deal damage afterwards, such as this encounter, or cloud of daggers, end up dealing double vulnerability damage. Vulnerable damage is balanced more on a once-a-turn per char basis.

Shouldn't Monsters Recharge at End of Turn?

Of course, what I'm proposing only makes sense if you tell the players when a power recharges. If you wonder how would they know that, I think is a matter of choice of you, as DM. If you want them to know, you can come up with several explanations. For magical powers, you can associate it's...

    What is Brutal worth?

Not trying to be a suck up, but this edition got a LOT of things right.

    What is Brutal worth?

Funny, this is the case when it's better to have more damage, and not more hit (that's in general, it actually depends on the ratio of your avg damage vs % to hit) Normal: 70% chance to hit, 10 avg damage Expected damage: 7 With +1 to hit: 75% chance to hit, 10 avg damage Expected damage: 7,5...

    WOTBS - The Inquisitor (spoilers)

What?!?!? What XP is that worth for? What encounter level is that? For that party, a level 6 encounter, which is VERY dangerous, the budget would be 1000 XP. In the Monster Builder once you make it you can right click on it, Copy as Rich Text and paste it on the forum quite well. If that...

Shouldn't Monsters Recharge at End of Turn?

I love telling players lots of info about monsters attacks and defenses. I find it keeps them making meaningful choices. But lately I've found that when a monster recharges a power at the start of it's turn, it usually uses it right away. The problem with this is that PCs can't plan...

    Wand of Accuracy

Free actions are WAY better than immediates. They can be used ANYTIME, after the attack is declared, after the attack is rolled, after the attack is known to be a hit ot a miss, after damage rolled, etc. You can think of the Wand of Accuracy as a: "I have a +Dex bonus to all attacks I want...

    Vulnerabilities: an underutilized mechanism?

I think not. You only deal the best of the vulnerabilities damage, in this case, 5.

    WotBS WotBS in Eberron?

That's a nice one Primitive Screwhead. I did a campaign ni the same period, but it never occured to me that it could be done for WotBS.

    Handling Monster Information

You can think of it not as "you cannot say it" but more on the line of "this is something that it isn't easy to communicate". Because there are lots of words and concepts we have at the game level that make much easier to transmit certain concepts, that characters wouldn't have. LOL The...

    Handling Monster Information

I wanted to share this experiment I'm currently running with my players: Easy DC: - You tell the player the monster's role (or describe the role if you don't want to tell it explicitly) Medium DC: - You tell the player the tactics the monster/s will use - You tell the player all the useful...
