Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG from Goodman Games

Since DCC Classics is neither Pathfinder or D&D 4e, do you think you can keep your passive aggressive edition war out of this thread? You sound like a bunch of junior high school girls.

Good Star Trek RPG for the kind of player/GM I am.

You might want to check out Where No Man Has Gone Before (version 2.0) - it's Microlite20 Star Trek: TOS, rules light, and best of all, it's free. The earlier version of this game (version 1.0) was based on d20 Modern. The only official Star Trek RPGs I've played are Last Unicorn Games (LUG)...

Anyone know if Dave Arneson had an ENWorld account?

I think it's a wonderful idea to honor Dave Arneson as a co-creator of the hobby, but yeah, Dave wasn't an active member of EN World like Gary was. And that's not a judgment of any kind on my part, just a fact.

Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG from Goodman Games

The second Designer Blog went up yesterday: Goodman Games • View topic - Designer's Blog #2: Pre-D&D Swords & Sorcery It includes more on the influence of Appendix N, why the cover will look the way it does (based on fantasy novels of the 1960s and 1970s), and more on what this game is trying...

'Community' to have a Dungeons & Dragons episode

That's definitely a big part of it. I also think they chose 1e AD&D rather than the current game because that's the edition that was out during D&D's heyday as a pop culture fad - even if you never played the game, you could recognize it. And while Fat Neal seemed a little too young to be a 1e...

So, what RPGS are awesome from IPR?

Dead of Night from Steampower Publishing is an excellent, rules light RPG that captures the feel of horror movies quite well. It's a lot of fun and great for one shots when you want to take a break from your regular games.

Do you think WoTC should be sued?

It's not a civil case - it's a criminal one. Before we proceed though, you need to show us on the doll where WotC touched you: B-)

Industry-related threads now in the Industry forum

That's cool - you guys have the actual usage data. I'm winging it here. :) Personally, I'd rather see publishers use the closest applicable icon available for their product announcement (4e, Pathfinder, ICONS etc.) than duplicate the Pathfinder Forum effect.

Firefox says EN World is an attack site?

It's good to be back (in Firefox)! B-) Using IE9 makes me feel like I'm having unprotected sex with strangers... :uhoh:

Industry-related threads now in the Industry forum

This is a great idea in theory, but I've noticed over the last week or so that I'm not really seeing announcements from publishers about new products like I used to anymore. They're either getting lost and bumped down in the chafe or publishers are not posting in there anymore for whatever...

A query on a potential game idea

I think this sounds cool too. Be sure to have the players take advantage of the ICONS rules for Stunts (p. 80) to come up with new uses and applications for their powers as well.

Designing OGL Supers for d20 modern

I've never played H&V, but it is very crunchy - there's a huge, comprehensive list of powers that make up the bulk of the book. It's also OGL open content, so it might be worth a look for $2. I did play and enjoy Blood & Vigilance - at the time I wanted something for supers one-shots that a)...

Well, they didn't lay anyone off right before Christmas last month. Other than that, I got nothing.

Designing OGL Supers for d20 modern

Four Color to Fantasy (3e)/Four Color to Fantasy Revised (d20 Modern) is good stuff. RPGObjects also did a supers supplement for d20 Modern back in the day called Blood & Vigilance. They also have another d20-based supers system called Heroes & Villains or YADSRPG (YADSRPG = Yet Another d20...
