You might want to check out Where No Man Has Gone Before (version 2.0) - it's Microlite20 Star Trek: TOS, rules light, and best of all, it's free. The earlier version of this game (version 1.0) was based on d20 Modern. The only official Star Trek RPGs I've played are Last Unicorn Games (LUG)...

That's definitely a big part of it. I also think they chose 1e AD&D rather than the current game because that's the edition that was out during D&D's heyday as a pop culture fad - even if you never played the game, you could recognize it. And while Fat Neal seemed a little too young to be a 1e...

Dead of Night from Steampower Publishing is an excellent, rules light RPG that captures the feel of horror movies quite well. It's a lot of fun and great for one shots when you want to take a break from your regular games.

That's cool - you guys have the actual usage data. I'm winging it here. :) Personally, I'd rather see publishers use the closest applicable icon available for their product announcement (4e, Pathfinder, ICONS etc.) than duplicate the Pathfinder Forum effect.

This is a great idea in theory, but I've noticed over the last week or so that I'm not really seeing announcements from publishers about new products like I used to anymore. They're either getting lost and bumped down in the chafe or publishers are not posting in there anymore for whatever...

I think this sounds cool too. Be sure to have the players take advantage of the ICONS rules for Stunts (p. 80) to come up with new uses and applications for their powers as well.

I've never played H&V, but it is very crunchy - there's a huge, comprehensive list of powers that make up the bulk of the book. It's also OGL open content, so it might be worth a look for $2. I did play and enjoy Blood & Vigilance - at the time I wanted something for supers one-shots that a)...
