All I have to say is buy/craft wands, scroll, staffs and 'boom' you have a more lasting caster. IMO: If you have a good DM he won't allow your fighter to run around in a full-plate swinging a great sword all day cause there are no rules for combat fatigue.

Anima Mage (ToB pg 51) comes to mind. With Quicken Spell. + Any Arcane Caster (2nd level spells) + 1 Binder (Improved binding feat) / + 5 Anima Mage (2 spells in the first round) or 10 Anima Mage (3 spells first round and 2 spells in the 2nd and 2 in the 3rd) Or something like that.

I would like to use it to make a Binder (i have nice rolls for stats). So i will probably remove the +2 Wis, and then bring up the race for the DM. 30 mins to go till session start.

As a good advice for DMs: You don't have to explain everything/anything to the PCs out of game when they ask. That and when they try to heal the blindness is any way just tell the PCs it did not work. If by chance they figure use some sort of spells to find out, you just tell them: - its "plot"...

Star Elfs in Faerun. Sorry I can't link or say which book its in. But i know it gets +2cha. Edit: Catfolk make good warlocks imo (Races of Wild). - +4 Dex, +2 cha , 40ft base speed and some other stuff.
