The owlbear is large I believe. But large creatures can generally squeeze through a 5ft doorway. As for the speed. It seems right on pace. You may be even quicker. But my group did the same stuff in the same number of sessions.

Darkvision typically on PC races is limited to 60'. Sometimes 120'. With or without darkvision, I typically allow passive perceptions at about 60 feet unless its something in clear view, or obvious (volcano erupting, meteor falling, etc). Low-light may extend to 120' in these c'camping'...

I couldnt agree more with the OP. It bugs me not only as a DM but as a potential author or 5E material. I believe we will just have to wait for the DMG for rules on making NPCs.

This poll asks Which campaign setting material (AP or Sourcebook) would you like to see first/next in 5E? This could be because adventure paths are published in the setting, a campaign source book is released, or other similar product. "My own homebrew" should read "I use my own Homebrew"...

I would rather see Eberron released as a series of awesome adventure paths that delved more into the history and backstory of these unique locations. With a player's guide and updated campaign source coming later.

Nice analysis. I think your PEL for NPCs is way off(assuming NPC=PEL, if not ignore since we dont know true NPC equivalents). Even looking at some of the NPCs in the MM or supplements, they are not close to the same as your PEL. Heck, I think a 8th level caster is like a CR3. Dont see...

One could arrange a whole campaign around this. Imagine if every aboleth wasnt an individual but a fragment of one collective mind. Possibly an old god long thought dead, but somehow finding a way to exist.

The first point of contention is getting them from the far north, waaaay down south. Something close to 1000 miles if I remember the map. Once you solve that dilemna, I would keep them 4th and just go. Sure they might roll easier through the first couple chapters, but it wont lessen the story...

I am almost positive you had to not only LIKE Heroes of Neverwinter you also had to LIKE Dungeons and Dragons.... i think you got crystals or something... overall wasnt a terribad game.

I would surmise that WOTC got a large % of those likes from the 4E Heroes of Neverwinter facebook game.

Druid's oath is more practical. A druid oath is to the flora, fauna, and terra, where the god is secondary. Clerics view their god as creator and the land, animals, and plants as secondary. Small distinction, but big implications. At least that was always my interpretation.
