    My consolation to you for not allowing damage on a miss is that you can cast the spell or perform the feat again during the encounter. You do not waste any spell or feat on a failure to damage.

    A'koss, that is the very reason why the designers need to have an initial cap so they can set the highest parameters of play. It doesn't matter if characters exceed that level cap or ability cap. It does matter to accessory and adventure writers though.

    Monsters would get the same bonuses. I'm also pushing for them to have the same level system as characters. And it is true that monsters will need to be a few levels lower so that the characters don't die all the time. That is the reality of the game now, the designers just hide it.
