Yeah. Fiction thats little more than an advert for the latest novel definitely bugs me. The only incomplete story I'd be willing to see is one thats completed over several issues. I'm certainly not an advocate of removing the fiction from Dragon all-together though.

My memory is fuzzy, but my fave sections of the Buffy story are the Angelus and faith arcs... That'd be 2 or 3 wouldnt it? or both ....

It may not fit with other artists styles, but for B&W art if I was going to champion anyone it would be Liz Danforth, whose art I have adored for years.

Probably most of Tolkien does in this regard...I certainly feel The Hobbit and LOTR do for example. [B] :p I wouldnt call it childs-play, you just have to concentrate a bit and approach it from a different way than you would reading a novel. Its a bit like reading Genesis. I love it...but...

Whilst I'm not really interested in using it as a Christian setting, it sounds like it will be a cool book that will help quite a lot for running games in similar era's. Then again, running a Life of Brian inspired game would be cool I think...

I have to say I loved it. Although as with most of the Pulp related stuff I own I never got a chance to use it. It was good readin though...and the bibliography helped me fill in some gaps in my library :)

Re: A few things... Well, as a HUGE fan of Excalibur (hell until FOTR came along it probably was my fave fantasy film) I'll comment here. I certainly never felt it was historically accurate....I did think it was a pretty good attempt at _one_ version of the Arthur myth though.

Well, I just got done wating the new episode and I have to say I quite liked it...although that might just be due to the long time between episodes. The only thing that bugged me was the ships part in the plot. That was uhhh rather hokey.
