    Epic Adventurers v. Kobolds?

about one of every four or so adventures I run is deliberately pitched well and truly below the averade party level, just so they can see themselves rising in ability and have the joy of being truly heroic. I haven't done it with epic levels yet, but I did run an 18th level party through a 5th...

    Old Man Forward!!

Youngest in my gaming group and have been for the last five years, but before that I was the top of the age-chain. Of course, like Crothian, most of the group is still under thirty. I don't see many of them giving up gaming simply because the odemeter has clicked over though.

How do you scare your PCs?

I generally hide behind my GM's screen, then leap out and yell BOO! Works every time.

    D&D Race Survivor -- Round 2

Half elves. I know that a lot of people started the gnome hate after reading Dragonlance (and who can blame them), but I'm always amazed that anyone can read the first series and not have a hate of Half-Elves equivelent to the loathing they feel for tinker gnomes and kender. Lets face it -...

    Which settings are worth looting?

I currently play in Eberron, so I don't know whether it counts as looting. Once I'm done with that campaign and go back to my homebrews, there's fairly good odds that some of the Eberron elements will go with me (particularly Artificers and dragonmark mechanics, as well as the action points)...

    Monsters u haven't used since 1st/2nd Edition

Flail snails and the occasional linorm. That's about it really. My monster choices have remained pretty consistent accross the editions, and I still use the same monsters I've always used regularly.

(Monday) Dehydrated Module (Just Add Heroes!)

Clay, those rock. Now if only I could legitimately hide an ice cave in the middle of a tropical jungle for this weekends game...

    The fallback

It varies far to often, usually depending on what new roleplaying system I have handy at the time. For campaign play, the list would be: Feng Shui, World of Darkness, Everway, Call of Cthulhu. One-Offs: Cat, Vs. Monsters, Wyrd is Bond and Spaceship Zero. If I only got one choice to replace...

My freinds post: How High School Community Hour and d20 dont mix

Okay. :\ Now explain to me again how this was a problem with high school community hour and d20, I appear to have missed it.

    Is heavy armor overblown?

Because being flat-footed sucks. Not a huge problem when you're a rogue who has uncanny dodge, but even then there are spells and creature abilities that can catch you unawares. That being said, I've created all of one PC that wore plate armor ever. The rest of them have been lightly armored...

    Getting a check for this.

Keep an eye on the open call and job opportunities forum in the publishers section - it largely contains this kind of information. Blue Devil Games just sent out a call for d20 Future stuff for an upcoming magazine, and Phil Reed just asked for folks who had an interest in writing PDF's.

What would your theme song be?

If I got the opportunity to be a complete showpony of a wrestler, I always wanted to walk into a ring to the sound of Girls on Film by Duran Duran. Otherwise I'd go for something relatively understated, like Gimme Gimme Shock Treatment by the Ramones.

    Can someone move this thread?

http://www.enworld.org/showthread.php?t=127925 I'm thinking the open call and job opportunities forum isn't really the correct place for it. :)

    Mutants of Masterminds intimidation

Supers games work best when you stop worrying about how things work with the rules, and start worrying about how things would look if they were laid out on a comics page. It's one of those genres were the feel of the genre should trump rules a little, but as long as you've got that in your head...

    Who Among Us Are Teachers?

Writing in Australia, as it currently exists, is largely focused on creative writing with some time devoted to the realities of working as a freelancer or professional writer (that is, training in technical writing and touching on areas such as journalism and finding work). The buzzword in...

    "Seven-sentence" NPCs: details?

Heck, I still use it when I'm writing up characters for products, just to make sure that I'm covering everything I think is necessary and hitting the important points.

Homebrew cultures -- what do you want to know?

as a GM, I want all of the above. It makes for good reading, and it lets me think about the world in big details. As a player I just want a short list of 10 or 12 info-bites that gives me a broad outline of the culture and what the GM expects of me while I'm playing a member of it.

Ronin Arts -- All Fall Down by Philip Reed

Sold. Well, not yet, but definately wish-listed. I ran Vs. Monsters at a local convnetion and it was a blast (and, incidnetly, one of the few truly creepy games I've ever managed to run). After that, I'm all for more Ronin Arts strangeness.
