Hmm... not sure why. That is pretty much the only thing going for them. Why not ban Aasimar or Tiefling. Neraph is even LA +0. And they are all outsiders. Which can be exploited as freely as constructs.

Are you buff/melee or pure caster? A lot depends on that... Also, tell us which ones are you planning on using besides that one. You do know that cleric inherently knows all spells on their lists (aside those banned by your DM)?
