D&D 5E (2014) New DMG rules of INJURIES

You need one free hand for somatic components without the Warcaster feat.

    D&D 5E (2014) Lingering Injuries

Dislocated shoulder - disadvantage str/dex checks and attack rolls involving your arms. Can't cast any bonus action spells involving somatic components. Broken Jaw - disadvantage on all checks involving speech, 50% chance to miscast spells with verbal components (spell doesn't take effect...

    D&D 5E (2014) Countering Dispel Magic

Make it a Contest. Opposed rolls + modifiers. Makes it less reliable at least and helps the over-CR'd Big Bad casters.

    D&D 5E (2014) Monster Creation

Wouldn't the immunities affect it's base and regenerated HP equally? So they should be a non-factor in this adjustment.

D&D 5E (2014) How many enemies Hunter's Volley attack can hit?

For 64 they'd have to be tiny or transparent or something for you to be able to see the target point in the centre of the cube ;)

    D&D 5E (2014) Rogues & damage...

Poison isn't doubled on a crit if it allows a save, it is doubled if it's an integral part of the attack with no save - however I believe only certain monsters have that so some polymorph/wildshapes. http://thesageadvice.wordpress.com/2014/11/24/critical-poison/

    D&D 5E (2014) Concentration if GRABBED

It's pretty straightforward if you read the rules... Concentration checks are triggered by damage. Grappling alone doesn't cause damage. So no concentration check triggered. Being grappled does not prevent any actions other than movement, as it sets the grappled creature's speed to zero. So...

D&D 5E (2014) Wizard check of concentration (CON) to drop prone ?

Yeah, sounds like Martimo's players are playing their characters more intelligently/tactically than he is prepared for. I don't see that that's necessarily a problem, but if he feels it is he should just up his game and play his end of the encounters smarter.

    D&D 5E (2014) Feats *and* aibility increases

Ok. I'd suggest it's fine to allow it once, at level 4, but after that have them choose. The Paladin and Fighter will probably get much more benefit from feats than most of those others.

    D&D 5E (2014) Feats *and* aibility increases

What classes are they? Some builds will benefit far more from feats than others, so not having an opportunity cost might cause some intra-party unbalance.

Proposed tweak to Sharpshooter and GWM

By the time you hit CR4+ your fighters will be able to hit 4 times or more with Action Surge. The -5 to hit isn't a big deal with so many ways to get advantage, plus potentially having Bless, a War Cleric or a Valor Bard to pump up your attack roll. So yeah, it is a problem when you combine...

Proposed tweak to Sharpshooter and GWM

Both feats include multiple features, this particular aspect is just slightly too powerful. They'll still be useful, but IMO will be on the level of other combat feats rather than head and shoulders above them. Currently they're both must-have for optimisation and builds which can't use them...

    D&D 5E (2014) Best Utility Spell

Mage Hand is pretty darn useful, particularly on an Arcane Trickster.

Proposed tweak to Sharpshooter and GWM

Personally I'm of the opinion that the -5/+10 options in these feats distort the game math too much when used in conjunction with other abilities and spells. To reduced this I'm considering changing that aspect of the feats to work like Savage Attacker - it can only be used by the player once...

    D&D 5E (2014) Sneak Attack Critical

When there is a save. Not all creatures have saves for their poison, sometimes it's directly applied on hit. Relevant to done wild shapes, plus true polymorph of course.

D&D 5E (2014) The "need" for "official rulings"...?

Probably for organised play, where you might bring the same character between different Adventurers' League tables with different DMs.

    D&D 5E (2014) CR 13 dragon beaten by level 7 party observations

INT 8 really isn't that dumb, it sounds like the DM underestimated how intelligent that is. It's the typical Thri-Keen, Bugbear, Tribal Warrior NPC, and those legendary trap-users; Kobolds.
