    Adventure Recommendation (levels 11+)

IIRC, the Istivin Trilogy in Dungeon Magazine (around 118 I think, but I could be wrong) is pitched about Level 11. From Necromancer Games, there are the following high-level modules: The Diamond Fortress (Level 11-13) Fane of the Witch King (Level 10+) Chaos Rising (Level 12+) I'm not sure...

    Free MMORPGs?

Rubies of Eventide is free, has a reasonable download client time on broadband and seems ok. The graphics are a bit Tomb Raider 1 but otherwise not bad. There is a bit of lag loading when changing zones, and there can be capacity issues, but otherwise it seems to play reasonably. 7 races, a...

RBDMs, what's the most RB thing you've ever done?

One of my players created a Powerful Artifact as part of his backstory. When he got to a moderately high level, he decided to go find it. His Ancestral Home had been over-run by undead, most of which went 'poof' when the party's Cleric of Pelor Turned them. Penetrating the fortress, the Player...

Pathfinder 1E Paizo's RPG SuperSTAR Contest Top 32

I'm English. In grammar lessons, we were always taught that the full stop resided inside the "quotation marks." Other usage always makes me wince, I'm afraid.

    D&D 4E Paizo and 4e.

I hope my previous post didn't sound malicious against WotC. It isn't. I realise that they are hard at it, pulling together a vast new gaming engine takes a lot of effort. What I meant to say (and perhaps only implied) is that the pace they are working at only allows them to consider their...

So what 3E adventures were worst?

My vote for worst goes to The Pit of Loch-Durnan. Poorly developed dungeon, bad hook, terrible assumption of player actions - not good. And I even played in it after reading the module (the DM didn't know I had the book) and had realised it was a bummer  :heh:

    D&D 4E Paizo and 4e.

Business head. Geek-head ;) My emphasis. Paizo need to be able to make $$ now that WotC have pulled their big sellers from under them. They are publishing new modules and AP books for the current edition of the game (today) which, by all accounts, is high quality and finding a good audience...

So, what published 3e adventures are you always going to remember?

I may need to come back later and tally things up, but there's lots of good vibes for The Sunless Citadel and the Paizo AP's :D

So, what published 3e adventures are you always going to remember?

I'm having a blast DM-ing Lost City of Barakus right now. And another Necromancer Product, The Grey Citadel will probably remain a high-point, if only for the Barbarian body-boardng down a waterfall on his shield. I also ran NeMoren's Vault twice for different groups and had a blast each time...

    Favorite 2e modules?

I ran my 2e group through The Star Cairns and they had a blast. They refused to go after Lyzandred the Mad, however, claiming they weren't tough enough to take on a Lich. Good job. That module sucked. The Doomgrinder looks un-runnable as is, so I'm glad they never made it there, either. We...

    Greyhawk - timeline assistance

The Free City took Hardby under its wing again after the Greyhawk Wars. That would be circa CY584 from memory (no books with me ATM). :)

Pathfinder 1E Have you played or run Paizo's Adventure Paths?

I haven't had the chance to run the AP's yet. I have all of AoW on hand, and the hardback of SCAP on order. So one day, soon(ish), I'll get my chance.

Classic dungeons: What makes them great?

Of course some of us don't believe in stuff like that - as my cleric-less players found out when a bunch of skellies took several rounds to pound into submission :]

When did you start using Greyhawk?

I shied away from D&D when I was a kid. No one I knew was into RPG's and I ususally played T&T solos. It was only when I found a regular gaming group in the 90's, had played D&D (and enjoyed it) and was looking for a setting that I 'discovered' Greyhawk. And I'm keeping it. PS Thanks to...

Do You Have A Campaign Website? Do You Use It?

Our Gaming Site, which (I'm afraid) hasn't been updated in a while. In fact, we've moved onto a new campaign since then, which isn't even noted. My wife did all the site design about 2 years ago (whilst she was pregnant with our second child). She has said that she wants to revise it...

Is there a "master" map of Maure Castle?

Of course! And I'll be interested to hear how your experiences with the game went, once I've played it. Here in the UK, we'll be using 3.5E rules. There are six seats at each table (all filled) and pre-generated 9th Level Characters. The DM has posted the expected list of characters on the...
