    New Artist

Awesome, awesome work. As I said eariler, I love the style you give your art. By the way, are you "officially" taking requests?

Kung-Fu Techniques for the Drunken Monk

Heh, that's a good one. Here's some more: Locust Stance If the character does not move, he gains 2 points of natural armor, at the cost of one reserve point per round. Flight of the Moth The character may move his full movement speed and perform a full attack, at the cost of five reserve...

Who's running or playing in an Arcana Unearthed Game?

By the way, has anyone else found the Oathsworn a little... lacking at the low levels?

Who's running or playing in an Arcana Unearthed Game?

We just started a new campaign on Sunday set in a made-up location called the "Briar Coast." It's more of a swashbuckling/sailing game, and the characters right now are a Giant Oathsworn (think Drunken Master), a Quickling Shark Totem Warrior (a pirate type), and a Verrik Water Witch (a sea...

Kung-Fu Techniques for the Drunken Monk

So in the newly started Arcana Unearthed (that's the Monte Cook one) campaign, one of the players is playing a Giant Oathsworn who's basically a Drunken Master type of martial artist, swearing off all material goods (except for alcohol) while attempting to recover his past. I think a big...

Favorite way to begin a game?

How it's usually worked in campaigns I've run and played in is that two of the characters usually know each other, while the others are strangers. We've never really planned it this way, but thinking back on campaigns... I played an elven detective with a young thief sidekick. None of the...

(Trying Not To Start A Rant) The Other Side of the Christian/DnD Thing

We were sitting around playing when this big, tall matress mover came into our house to, well, move a matress into my brother's room. One of the players mentions something about magic, and the big guy say, "Magic?" in his deep, deep voice. Now this guy was big, I mean at least 6 and a half feet...

I just fought my first [insert critter here]!

I remember my first fight against a Bullete. I was playing a Half-Orc Barbarian/Cleric named Splurk in my first 3e campaign. We were playing through an adventure from Dungeon in which the denizens of this forest had turned against the people who lived there. We were tromping down a path when...

    Disappointed with Minis

My guess would be that WizKids based a game around the collection of random miniatures, and while WotC tried to do this, most consumers bought their miniatures for a completely seperate game (D&D instead of the Skirmish game).

[DM Issue] - How would you have handled this?

Wow, harsh. Everyone makes mistakes. The player made a mistake by not clarifying, and you made a mistake by taking it too literally. But if you both learn from this mistake, future games will run even more smoothly.

    Nasty Traps, Dire Consequences

When fighting goblins in a narrow hallways, the characters were surprised when one goblins switched a lever on a wall and huge blades swung out of the walls three feet off the ground... just above the goblins' heads, and just into the chests of the characters! Ah, Traps and Treachery, how I...

So a Commoner gets a Wish granted...

I'd wish for some adventurers to fight a dragon within a stone's throw without harming the town or its people. Then I'd throw a stone at the dragon, therefore helping with the battle, therefore gaining a boat-load of experience points. Realistically, though? Hm... I suppose I'd wish for...

Have you ever killed a PC on purpose?

Only if it's appropriate, and the player is okay with it. I had a player leaving on vacation for a while, and his character was having trouble with lycanthropy. So it was an appropriate death when the paladin in the party killed him. Sure, the paladin did the deed, but I really set it up.

Some new races: Golems and Prayags

Wow. I just realized that I forgot to give the golems a +2 to Will Saves, as I had originally planned. Fixed.
