PrC-Artifact Wielder, for those who are defined by their weapons

Monte didn't write Unearthed Arcana. He wrote Arcana Unearthed.

    Damaging Items with [light]

It does in my game! It's probably just an oversight on the designer's part, though it's been missed in how many revisions/erratas now? :(

PrC-Artifact Wielder, for those who are defined by their weapons

It's not in complete arcane - it's in unearthed arcana. With credit to the Game Mechanics's line of products - Swords of Our Fathers and Staves of Ascendance. Really good stuff; I'm using a battlebow in my game now. www.thegamemechanics.com jtb

Help me fill out my pantheon!

Thanks, man! It's also the answer to how the players can go about resurrecting or reintroducing a dead evil god to the world without violating their alignment... I think that they will find that the orcs in the southlands have already resurrected an avatar of Bakt - some groundwork for the...

Help me fill out my pantheon!

Alright - here's what I've decided on. Note that I have made some small alterations to the original four. The full pantheon: ORB (formerly Orb) - god of the sun and moon, assumed the portfolio of war after the jihad that left the other gods dead. NG. Symbol is a crescent moon with a sun burst...

    Playing Undead?

Yeah, but the problem wasn't only that it was immediately out of date - it got lost in the shuffle, and got very little support...

    Playing Undead?

There's also the Ghostwalk campaign option book by Monte Cook and Skip Reynolds (?). Which, due to some stupid decisions by WotC - namely, releasing it as a 3.0 book mere months before the release of 3.5 - has been greatly overlooked. Some interesting material in there. jtb

Hazards of Hookers and Problems with Prostitutes

well, I would say the last two hundred, really - witness some of the Dumas' writings, about Camille (La Traviata/Moulin Rouge's storyline, set more than 50 years ago!) and some of the women in the Three Musketeers.

Hazards of Hookers and Problems with Prostitutes

Actually, based on the weight and sizes listed in the PHB, it's not even close. They're more like tin with a bit of gold paint dabbed on them. They have a real-size illo of a gp, that's an inch across, and they are supposedly 50/lb. In pure gold, they'd have to be a fraction of an inch thin...

Lore of the Gods - Final preview today

Here's an odd content request - how about resurrecting a god that's been killed? (Sort of the post-Requiem for a God) I assume it will at least get touched on with the Egyptians...

Help me fill out my pantheon!

nah, the clergy did that. And who's to stop them? :uhoh:

Help me fill out my pantheon!

That's a really interesting idea - and mirrors the idea I have with clerics of ORB. They must choose the sun domain; they may take one other domain of their choosing with few restrictions. (No death, evil, destruction, etc.) (They also have the option to take the Unearthed Arcana cloistered...

Help me fill out my pantheon!

So, currently, I have four gods defined in-game, that the players know about. Three of them are 'dead', and one is ascendant. His church rules all the lands. I have recently let them know that there were, at one point, a total of seven gods. The other three are also 'dead', and the next...

    "Thou shalt not.." Specifics

Now that, that is really funny. Major sins in my campaign, which is a single-god theocracy: Allowing undead to live or causing the peaceful dead to walk. Plundering the tombs of the peaceful dead. Practicing arcane magic. it's hard, though, with a total theocracy, to differentiate sinful...

What is it like to be Undead?

Much like life, there are many different states of being - some undead, like spectres or wraiths, I imagine to be in a constant state of torment, hence the whole haunting thing. Others, like liches or vampires, are usually more dirven - they are aware, intelligent, and goal-oriented - much like...

What is your favorite D&D monster?

Ghouls. CR 1 without classes, unlimited CR with classes. so versatile, so evil, so easy to roll. Yeah. I'm all about the ghouls.

    Empowered Awaken

The wording on the power leads me to believe that it can only be applied to a die roll in which there is a chance of success or failure. Kind of the inverse of the Take 20 rule. Therefore, it couldn't be applied to HP, or randomized effects of spells, etc.

Travelling DMs: What do you tote your game in?

EXACTLY. And, your standard RPG hardback book or 3-ring binder fits so neatly inside I'm tempted to think that EGG was really a dairy farmer.
