Yeah, under the title would be good. You should probably also put standard html links to the topmost category's pages underneath the dropdown menu for those who don't have jscript enabled. You should be able to get the menu to cover up the links as soon as it loads.

If PCGen had all the extraneous info (source, prereqs, etc.) in a popup menu (right-click or double-click to activate; or highlight and press a info button as an alternate route), it would eliminate a huge amound of clutter. And the alignment really needs to go on the first page with race imo.
