Redblade Character Generator Rocks

Right away, I was able to see "Sword and Fist" in their features list. I didn't need to read any further to realize that this, like any other character generators, is going to be in trouble. I do wish that developers read these forums more.

You are right. What I wish to know... is it customizable? Can I add my own feats, skills, magic item, races etc?

This is a simple and FREE Charactergenerator from a Gamer for Gamers like the thousands CG's made in the past for nearly every RPG-System available.

It doesn't say that it is OGL or D20 it just says that it requires the DnD Player Handbook (he even says that it's a great book!), if WOTC is going to stop this Program than F*** WOTC! I heard enough from this OGL/D20 Crap in the past, it was made to help us to create wonderfull additions for that game not to hurt the fanbase.

Ok sorry for the rant, but I hate it that on every threat here comes to an OGL/D20 Discussion :(

--- End of Rant ---

Eternalnight: Everything is costumable (race, class, skills...), I made a Kobold yesterday in a very short amount of time. It's really easy to use but I have seen that there are some small Problems ... but it's the first release so I think that is only a matter of time.

But to help him, why not check the errors we find and post it here?

Error's
-) Race Skill Bonuses were added to the Ranks and not as Misc. Bonus
-) I made a Illusionist but his addidtional Spell per Day were not included.

Have FUN!

Temporarily removed. And I qoute from the web page itself:
"Hey there! :) I've had many comments on the generator, the last one coming from WoTC, demanding to get it up to licence :(. I'm a little fish so I dont plan fighting this. You'll see the generator return in a week or two when I can figure out these licence requirements. :P "

Someone else got nailed by WoTC..annoying D20/OGL

Just to clarify, if it's annoying anything it's "annoying copyright laws."

It's D20/OGL that will make it possible for him to come out with a legal version, so it's "cool D20/OGL," if anything.

Regarding d20/OGL: people may be annoyed that WoTC throws there weight around and demends d20/OGL compliance from software tools on the internet.

But why people express anger at the d20/OGL on this issue confuses me. The d20/OGL is not the thing that gives WoTC the right to throw their weight around. The mere fact that the tool is making use of WoTC's copyrighted material gives them the right to do that.

If there was no d20/OGL you wouldn't even be able to put the players handbook classes in your tool without evoking the ire of WoTC. But you can use the PhB material legally because of the d20/OGL.

My initial reaction....This generator looks great!

I created a simple character. The interface is very fast and intuitive. I haven't looked that deeply into it yet but I have to say good job to the creator. I will make sure to send my feedback his way along with any possible bug notices and suggestions.

I'll bet this guy is going to support his generator 100 times greater than the neglect we have gotten from Wizards of the Coast with eTools. No wonder WotC shut him down, the Redblade generator looks like it will blow the buggy eTools out of the water.
