Yes, now that you mention it. There was an article on 'Portals in Lantan' within the Perilous Gateways series. It's in the Forgotten Realms archives on the WotC site.

As far as I know (and I have most FR 2nd Ed stuff), there is no resource that elaborates on Lantan further. AFAIK the various 3.X edition FR supplements also do not touch upon Lantan any more than what the FRCS states.
