Two handed??? I used to make and use slings as a kid. It is only two handed to get the stone in it and then one handed when you twirl and fire. But for game purposes it is two because you can only control one sling before firing. They are sinple to make, try it yourself.

Dont like it... I have Dm'ed a campaign in earth such as you have proposed.. but it lacked the Ooomph of a magic laden, mystery world of own design or published kind. I supppose if you took a fantasy take to it it may be somewhat interesting... but then it really wouldnt be true to life...
