Why isn't Waking up in different clothes a creepy thing?

This whole thread, and actually not ignoring the creepiness and turning it into a recurring joke was probably the best part of the movie Knight and Day, honestly...

    D&D 3.x gunslinger 3.75 vs ranger 3.5 who's the best gunner?

Are both using Pathfinder's complete bat**** insane broken ass rules for guns, or only the gunslinger? Do both have access to all of 3E and PF rules content?

    Tesla Museum!

I am very excited by this. Also, his explanation of Tesla's achievements (and edison's douchery, which is basically an impossbile subject to avoid when talking in depth about Tesla) is wonderful.

    Is the MMO dying?

If only MMO's would die off! People are poorer now, so maybe they won't *dominate* like they have been, but they'll never go away, much to my dismay. I'm betting that the next big thing in RPGs will be a stupid downloadable content model, where you have to pay to extend the plot and gain new...

    Tripping a much larger opponent?

Yeah...the only success I've had w/ Setting Sun throws has been with the stereotypical best combat maneuver build: Big dude, lots of strenth, powerful build or enlarge person, etc... Setting Sun throws not actually working for little people, against every single bit of explicit and implied...

Pathfinder 1E How does the magus perform at high levels?

A Magus, just like a wizard, can use a +5 mithral buckler w/o ANY drawback. Monk's the only poor sap that can't use a shield. There's nothing about Crane Wing that lends itself to str magus or dex magus only. In fact, since str magus isn't spending 2 feats on finesse and dervish dance, he's...

    Tripping a much larger opponent?

The Setting Sun throws are a massive mechanical failure precisely because they neglected to get rid of the size restrictions, unfortunately. (They also didn't get rid of the tremendous size bonuses/penalties, either...try and read the origin story of SS's legacy weapon and not laugh) I wish I...

Pathfinder 1E How does the magus perform at high levels?

You speak of limited spells and arcana and then...say you use the terribad Arcane Shield feat. WTF? Math Time! Ring of Protection +5 gives you +5 deflection to AC, all day long. Arcane Shield will cost an immediate action and last one round, and give you a deflect bonus equal to the spell...

In 2007, how did you see hits and hit points?

Should have been more specific options and multi-choice poll, but given the options, I went with 2. An attack that mechanically "hits" and "does damage" could be represented as missing or being dodged or glancing off armor in the fluff, but that action still exhausting/harming the character to...

Warlocks are too anime and overpowered

Since Dandu is rehashing the original, though certainly worthy of repitition, thread he made on BG, I'll just post my reply to it again here, and hope it gets more appreciation than it did on BG. I can't believe no one's mentioned possibly the most iconic Asian/anime/weaboo class of them all...

Pathfinder 1E How does the magus perform at high levels?

I'm in a game w/ a now-18th level Magus, and he's been just fine. Of course, it's a gestalt game w/ 3E content (he's mixed with Warblade), so my experiences might now be too helpful. But the core of his power is based in PF, mostly. I provide him with a badass mount (Phantom Stag; 300 ft...

    Nauseated flanking

Why don't we stop beating around the bush, and get to your argument already? Flanking: "When making a melee attack, you get a +2 flanking bonus if your opponent is threatened by another enemy character or creature on its opposite border or opposite corner." "Threatened": "Threatened Squares...

    Help with a Binder Build

We had one in a party once. It was mostly just annoying, he made us wait around for minutes every situation we encountered so he could retrieve the best spell to solve the problem. It's like being showed up by Batman Wizard and being forced to wait in line for the priviledge. >_<

    Nauseated flanking

Yes. Nauseated does not allow attacking of any sort, and AoO is an attack, so you cannot make an AoO while nauseated. Despite the fact you can still take some actions (move, basically). The attacking restriction is actually super important, since if you read the rules for charging when you...

    Help with a Binder Build

Your DM disallowed full casters but Artificer and Sha'iir are ok?! (O_O)

    Nauseated flanking

Yes, flanking still happens. Would you want to get puked on?! I thought not! Better keep an eye on the purple dude. ;) Seriously, though...don't try to apply too much "logic" or "realism" to the flanking rules. Combat as a whole is abstracted, and flanking in particular is heavily...

    Disintegrate does not affect trees

Yeah, in D&D, a creature is a specific definition meaning something that has wis and cha scores. In other words, it can sense its surroundings and has some sense of "self." So plants hit an awkward gap where they're living yet not creatures, in the D&D sense.

    Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder Jumping limits

I always hated the limit, it's stupid. If your jump training is so great you can actually move faster by jumping...by all means, do so. Of course, RAW, you're screwed. Try and buff your speed w/ boots of striding and springing or something. Course, that also increases jump distance further...

Pathfinder 1E Converting the Scout to Pathfinder

Scout won't work in PF, due to how badly they nerfed tumble. Scout relies on being able to move around the battlefield easily, he cannot do that in PF. On a side note, his d8 hp was supposed to be an edge over rogue, but you probably couldn't make HD a d10 in PF, so that edge is lost, too. If...
