Pathfinder 1E What are your Pathfinder houserules?

Yes, I like this. EWWW! No! God, no. Also, dirty trick only lasts for 1 round + 1 round per 5 you win by, so why do yours last indefinitely until removed? Bah, nevermind. Fumble bad! Fumble rules very bad! Must smite with fire!

Pathfinder 1E What are your Pathfinder houserules?

I have massive, sweeping changes to Rogue and Monk, and plan on lesser changes to boost the other non-casters and nerfs to casters. But aside from that stuff, this is my current list of houserules: Races: Dwarves: Stability is reduced to a +2, like the various improved combat maneuver feats...

    Fortitude Saves for Multi-Class

You add them up, same as you do with BAB and the other two saves. A Ftr 1 / Rog 2 would have (base) attack bonus +2, Fortitutde +2, Reflex +3, Will +0. At rogue 3 (I'm assuming that's what's next for this character), BAB, and base fort and will would all go up by 1.

Ideas and musings on my ideal magic rules system

    - Anyone who's experienced with 3E spellcasting recognizes the ability of spells to completely obsolete mundanes as one of the single greatest problems that needs to be addressed. Whether 4E did it or not (I thought they left them in, but turned them into rituals that take time and money to...

    Precise Shot Feat

Improved Precise Shot ignores (non-total) cover (including the soft cover of an ally between you and the target...grr...) and concealment, and lets you fire into a grapple without the nasty % chance of hitting your friend. It is a very good feat. And yes, how the rules work is: With Precise...

The Grand Failure of the Warlock.

Biggest failure of the warlock is that they should've gotten more invocations, IMO. With the few they get and so many of the "good" ones being buff effects like flight and invisibility, there really wasn't much room for more than a few offensive options, and spamming your EB and like 2 other...

Why would you leave your spouse after getting Amnesia

Also, all of this. And not just people he's saved. What if he said, "How about we go visit your mom and 'sister'?" *Look of shock from Sarah* I mean cripes, that was a pretty important secret to her, and it only just happened like half a dozen episodes ago and at most a month ago in-show...

Why would you leave your spouse after getting Amnesia

Heh, immediately thought of Chuck when I read the OP, though the series finale was a while ago now. I hated that entire arc for many reasons as well, including what Janx has said. Maybe living together right away would be awkward, but running away completely was just...ugh. The last 3...

    Something Awful leak.

But it's not a throwback to 3rd edition. Read the summation in the 2nd to last post on page 10. Just because the biased authors of that SA thread kept accusing the new rules of being heavily 3E-based doesn't make it true. Look at the list of things brought up. The only truly 3E thing in...

    Pathfinder 1E Metamagic in Pathfinder

Best metamagic feats, IMO: Extend Quicken Bouncing Persistent Selective Reach Dazing Situationally good metamagic feats: Intensify Spell (for Magus) Toppling Spell Merciful Spell (to combine w/ Magical Lineage trait for a 1st level spell as an at will cantrip) Silent Spell (for the "invisible...

Scaling: How many level 1 characters should it take to defeat a level 10 character?

Sounds about right for what I'd like to see. Though ideally the class of the level 10 vs. class of the level 1's shouldn't much matter. ...Yeah, that'll never be.

    Let's build an imbalanced rogue

No, nothing that has been posted so far is imbalanced at all. Which proves a point itself...

Ideas and musings on my ideal magic rules system

Without it being shared, everything else falls apart. I don't want complete homogeneity between classes all having roughly equivalent daily/encounter/at-will/utility abilities, so the most logical way to preserve some balance and still have some classes with the big guns to me would be the mana...

Ideas and musings on my ideal magic rules system

So, I've been thinking a lot about how I'd like spellcasting to be handled in a future version of D&D, and have gathered the basis for how I'd like to see it work. Most ideas are cribbed or modified from Arcana Evolved (AE) or a videogame called Baten Kaitos Origins (namely, the shared mana...

    Fetch me a whore

I did not see your post before posting. I added "I think" in there. Not sure what else I can do to edit it to be acceptable short of removing the entire quoted post and first line.

    Archeologist issue

Ok, I found a similar thread on the paizo boards. Someone linked to this. Strangely, despite doing everything they possibly can to obsolete the rogue at every possible turn, in this one insignificant case, they thought letting the rogue keep his piddly +3 advantage would give him the needed...

    Fetch me a whore

Perhaps I misunderstood your post, but why is it wrong when the exploitation is one way yet ok when done in the other way?

    Fetch me a whore

Agreed. I think sex is fine in D&D, and didn't 1E have a wandering whore encounter table? Unfortunately, not sure I can add much, most of the helpful posts have actually covered things quite well. Nymph, half-nymph, changeling, any of the +cha races... Worshipping Lastai can be good... If...

    Archeologist issue

IIRC, they don't get it as a class skill, but there are traits to do that for you. I forget what the specific "+1 bonus and class skill" one is, perhaps someone else can point it out. I do know Wisdom in the Flesh trait would make it a class skill and wisdom-based, though being a bard I...

    Something Awful leak.

Actually it sounds like the posters are trolling 3E players... "So...yeah, it's bad. It's really bad. Unless you really, really liked 3.5! Or you are Monte Cook, I guess. Or wanted your rules to be written in the most obfuscatory language possible. Hopefully they can scrap the whole thing and...
