Celebrim raises an excellent point --- we *needed* DM screens in first edition (before THACO) to look up adventurer lvl v. armor class, the 5 saving throws across each class, etc. Now.....not so much. Reminds me of computer screen savers --- we needed them initially to prevent screen burn-in...

I can't agree more -- in fact I came back looking for this thread after thinking about it today. Every Trek show had it's theme and I always thought Enterprise was going to be "How do we connect the Past (today's world + nuclear war + Cochrane) to the first Future (TOS)." Temporal cold war...

So I'm guessing that the original couple in question are looking for new players? Which raises the question ... are they Player Characters or _Playa_ Characters?
