    An Idea About Game Table...

Wow... understood that it's an assumption at this point but it would be colossally stupid if they stick with that.

    An Idea About Game Table...

What is the reasoning behind this assumption?

    What IS DDI, really?

True. My money is on the long term solution never coming to fruition. Not that it would be difficult to put the issues up on RPGNow or some such. I'm not certain they want to at the moment. They want subscribers and there's a good chance that many people would not subscribe if they could just...

    What IS DDI, really?

Interesting, however, it is specifically pointed out as being temporary. There is no indication that you will retain access to content during periods that you haven't subscribed once the "long term" solution is in place. As stated it's the opposite.

    What IS DDI, really?

False. You only have access to issues for the period you've subscribed, you do not get access to those pdfs that came out prior to your subscription. So, yes, you do miss out on materials for not having subscribed since it's inception. If you subscribe today you will not have access to the...

Wraith Recon - has anyone got it?

Good to hear, I was going to run the mini campaign as an off-campaign one shot for fun. Seems like a good setting for one shots. The book is a good read and the quality is high (feels better than the core 4e books to me). If it plays well too I'll be happy.

    CCF refused D&D donations

The problem isn't that the money is being turned away on ideological grounds, it's that this specific ideology is particularly ignorant and intolerant (which shouldn't come as a surprise). You would expect an organization to refuse money gained by murder, rape, and theft. Or, more...

    CCF refused D&D donations

+1 It's understandable why this charity was picked but that doesn't make it any less exclusive.

    CCF refused D&D donations

That's funny. I made a point not to participate because of the charity in question, and they turned down the money anyway.

Which 4e adventures have you played?

I see, it's my fault that you didn't do any fact checking. Looking back at the original post you were obviously aware of publishers like Goodman. It didn't occur to you to even check their site to see what had actually been released? Don't worry though, I won't "bother" to respond anymore...

Which 4e adventures have you played?

There are not only modules missing, there is at least one on there that isn't even out yet. Perhaps going to the publishers sites to see what was available would have been a better way of getting that information.

    Mac Map Creator

Gimp and Inskcape are both capable of creating maps of that sort. There are plenty of tutorials around for both.

    Farewell to thee D&D

Sorry, I've been playing D&D since '82. 4e isn't my first game by a long shot. That wasn't an ad hominem attack, it was an honest question. It takes a great amount of willful ignorance to make claims like 4e = WoW and I find the people that make them fascinating... in a "wow, I can't believe...

Review DCC 53: Sellswords of Punjar

The art is definitely different, but tbh not in a good way. At least not for me. Had I not already had a good idea that the content would be great I wouldn't have bought them. At least not as quickly as I did. IMO they didn't need to change it to differentiate it and there's a lot to be said...

Review DCC 53: Sellswords of Punjar

I should have noted that only Dragora's Dungeon specifically says, in essence, "not for noobs". At least I don't remember the others saying that, but they're at home and I'm not.

Review DCC 53: Sellswords of Punjar

Then by that criteria and from the skimming I've done of my copies, none of the four 4e modules from GG are introductory. I wouldn't necessarily avoid running them for a newbie-ish group but they're not specifically made to introduce new players to the game.

    Farewell to thee D&D

i no rite. last night I ran 4e and the one player showed up early and he was like omg wtf so he wandered around my house yelling "LFG" but then every1 else showed so they went out of the town and grinded on bears for awhile because they had that quest to kill 10 plus they were saving up for...

    Farewell to thee D&D

That's a player problem, not a game problem. More importantly that's a social problem with that person not having the same goals as the rest of the players.
