D&D 5E (2024) So what's going on with the October book?

They should put in BX and/or AD&D adventures... :p

    Spoilers Interstellar

I was making a general point. The specifics are not clarified by the movie and I agree that it is all very "convenient" and vague.

    Spoilers Interstellar

I also love this film, but most of my friends mock me about it. About the future people, I think that they transcended further and left behind the tesseract.

D&D General Your Favorite D&D-esque Starter Set

I voted for the Mentzer set, which is the one I began with. BX is a sleeker rule set, but Mentzer is, IMHO, just perfect for teaching the game. If I could give two votes, the second one would be for the Phandelver set.

D&D 5E (2024) Effects that kill you at 0 hp

This is the text from Vaul of the Drow, which was carried forward in the Fiend Folio.

D&D 5E (2024) Effects that kill you at 0 hp

I've always used, rather extensively and in all editions, the concept of magic items that are keyed to the users and can't be "looted" by the PCs.

Eberron: Forge of the Artificer Delayed Until December

I pre-ordered it at my local shop, but I think it's unlikely that the additional module will make its way to Italian stores, especially considering that they don't get the product in advance like US WPN stores.

Cthulhu By Gaslight Keeper’s Guide Dives Into The Dark Side Of The Era

As far as I know, almost all of Sherlock Holmes stories are in the public domain.

EU Vice-president says once a video game is sold, it is owned by the customer.

The point that has been made is that if a law were made that specified that video games must be sold and not licensed then, game companies would have to comply or cease their commercial activity in the EU. It wouldn't matter how the companies might represent it. The law would override that.

D&D 5E (2024) So what's going on with the October book?

Yes, I got confused about the releases. Sorry.

    Kickstarter: GURPS Mission X

This is done under license from SJG, not directly by them. Other than that, I agree fully. Dungeon Fantasy was a great idea, IMHO, but the implementation could have been better. It is a stand-alone product and it does all the work of creating the game, but it keeps too many complex options and...

    Kickstarter: GURPS Mission X

Thanks for the heads-up. Douglas Cole does solid work, IMO, and this looks quite interesting to me. P.S. The link in your post does not seem to work. Hopefully, this one does.

3PP Release New crowdfunding coming: Martial Artistry: A Compendium of Combat for A5e and 5e! (AMA!)

My copy also looks fine. Would it be possible, at some future time, to add bookmarks to the PDF?

    History Rhymes: Another Gygax Lawsuit

I'm a very tolerant person. I totally respect that others can have opinions that are different from mine... and WRONG.

OD&D Why is AC 2 the best armor class?

Thanks for sharing this, I was sure that something like this article was out there. Still, it is all very arbitrary. I almost prefer (from an esthetic point of view) the 2d6 roll under explanation. The system described in the article could work equally well with AC starting at 1 and going up to...

OSR Swords & Wizardry White Box Rules (allegedly) self-delisted from DTRPG and Mythmere Online Store due to trolling and "fanbase warfare"

Thanks for the summary. It is still completely baffling to me. You don't like Matt's "spin" on the rules? Pick a different version or, better still, do one yourself. Do you want to play it exactly as it was? Buy the PDF of the original.

D&D 5E (2024) Next issue of Game Informer will have details on the two upcoming Forgotten Realms books

Yes, DDB was originally a third party project with a license from WotC. It was owned first by Curse and then by Fandom. Later, it was bought by WotC and brought in-house. After a while, WotC decided to merge DDB with its general D&D website.
