Thanks guys for the explanation... Man I remember seeing the animated movie when I was a young kid. I'm not old enough but was there a fantasy awakening in the '70 ? Gygax, LOTR, Excalibur (in 82?) and then nothing until LOTR in 2003 (?). Oh yeah, Robin Hood but that's different.

I remember there were some issues between LOTR and DnD way back in the '80 so I was wondering how they could create true lore canonic content. And since LOTR is quite old by now, I thought it was maybe in the public domain by now.

Then how they can "create" LOTR lore, did they acquire licensing ? From whom ?

Is LOTR is out of copyright or something?

Congrats to the winners Would someone explains me how Dune could be an interesting TTRPG? I understand that the Dune universe is quite something but I don't see it in a TTRPG at all.

It looks like that my game shop is using the "bits and mortar program" as well, I just ask them for a code with the book? Or the code is in the book?

It's a no brainer for me since CP2020 is pretty much my preferred pen&paper game. But I will try to wait for Christmas... as I will do for the game itself... Not sure I'll be able though.

I have an Kobo Aura One and reading PDFs on it is out of question, Kobo software is crap to navigate PDF, zooming is too slow on a eReader to be usable. However, I'll check Alita as a 10" ereader will be perfect for reading PDF but I guess it's a bit pricey.

From what I read, the kingdom building portion of the game is the least fun.
