Greyhawk being dumped as the core setting in 3.5

I think they should just switch over to FR as the main setting. It's already basically there except for some small sections in the various books. I think that WotC could do a much better job supporting FR as the main setting than it did with Greyhawk.

    are armies any good?

Aid Another will seriously number the 10th level character's days. Using Aid Another, you could potentially have an orc or two hitting at +16 every round, giving a good chance of hitting. Also, AC isn't always king. Touch attacks can be devastating (say, using Acid or Alchemist's Fire). 100...

(long) Did I do the right thing?

*cracks neck* Well, if it helps much, I can understand what's going on. See, I'm a sophmore in high school, and I've been role playing for oh... a little over two years. The other players are likewise all sophmores. All of us are 15-16. As you can imagine, we are hack and slashers. We are...

What makes a fight last longer?

This is probably a huge reason, top of the list probably. Haste allows characters to increase their damage output by 30-70%, depending on the character. Casters get the most obvious benefits, but melee fighters still get an extra attack at their highest bonus. Clerics can whip out more buff...

    Shuriken, Rapid Shot, and Rogues

Sure, that's only 162,000gp a piece, or 486,000gp for a set of 3. Two sets and a 20th level fighter will break the bank.

Remember that Wounding is now a +2 ability. It's in the errata.

Wizards closing some of there're stores.

I really don't care. Why would I drive half an hour to a Wizards store to buy something that I could get 15-30% off just 5 minutes from my house?

Just one more reason I dispise Sundering in regular game play.

How does the Forsaker know it is magic?

Well, a lot of them are obvious. Glowing sword, resizing armor, orbitting stone... Anything that glows, resizes, or magically supports itself gets destroyed. I think a wisdom check would probably be pretty good. Possibly add his forsaker levels to the check. DC depends on how inconspicuous...

    Half-Dwarves

This makes no sense to me. If a dwarf isn't exceptionally strong, and a human isn't especially strong, why would a mix of the two be exceptionally strong? Same thing with the dexterity, just insert "clumsy" for "strong".

    New use for the D12

Bah! I was going to mention that because I thought it was quite clever. Glory thief. However, since we don't have any d30's in our group (hey, that'd be a good thing to buy...), we just roll a d4 (reroll 4's) and a d10 for the day of the month.

    Can half-elves be fixed?

Stat bonuses shouldn't come in odd numbers. The only thing I would change is perhaps the skill bonus that humans get, but that might be too much.

    Death knell

Can you give a quote please? I used to think this, but when challenged to provide a quote, I came up empty handed. The closest thing I can come up with is this: PH page 153. The caster level increase from Death Knell does not fall under any of those categories.

Do you think Haste is too powerful as is?

I think it's too powerful, but if I were to 'fix' it, I would up it's level considerably. Probably up to 6th or so, but also make it slightly more powerful. Something like a longer duration, perhaps slightly higher AC bonuses, etc. Mass Haste would have to be an 8th or 9th level spell, with...

    WWII Era Tactics, Weird Wars

More on tanks. Most tanks had the ability to destroy their counterpart at decent ranges. Some tanks couldn't (a Sherman, for example, will have trouble knocking out a Panther from the front), but it is likely that there was something on the field that had the potential. That means that a tank...

    Evil Characters in good campaigns?

Not necessarily. Evil characters don't necessarily have diametrically opposed goals with good characters. In fact, they may have virtually the same goal, albeit different motives and means to persue them. For example, an evil character seeks bloody revenge (evil) against the bandits that...
