    Converting Epic Level Beings

and - d'oh! here's a good one. we gave him the fire subtype, but not immunity to fire or vulnerability to cold. ;) of course, it might be fun to kill the subtype and keep the internal damage from using the volcano-granted breath weapon. ;) (but i seem to be the only one who likes that idea...

more... did we make use of this spell? did we want to?

    Converting Epic Level Beings

looking through the thread now... not sure what has been totally addressed or not, just bringing it back up for one final look. ;) referring to the lingering damage from the breath weapon's lava:

    Non-Animal Anthropomorphics

no, that would be fey-touched. ;) i'm thinking more like humanoids that have plant characteristics, such as bark-like skin, photosynthesis, etc. they'd be of the animal kingdom, but with traits unique to plants. :)

the original estimate for his SR was 34, but i see no problem going with 43 or 45 as you guys suggested. :) 120 each for blindsight and gaze range works for me. it doesn't look to me like he's missing anything else, but i will try to take a look through this thread and see if we missed...

then i have chosen well. :) after i have taken a look at some recent ecology articles to get a handle on the format, i'll try to flesh out the "goals" listed above. anyone want to push me in the right direction for that? :)

    Non-Animal Anthropomorphics

sure - there are all sorts of ideas. :) i'd like to see more Humanoid/Monstrous Humanoids for one thing - you may say, "aw, not more humanoids", but these are more than just humanoids right? ;) i'd like to have more plant-based races for one, but more like "plant-touched humans" rather than...

    Non-Animal Anthropomorphics

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthropomorphism Believe it or not, there was a time when the term “anthropomorphic” did not refer solely to furries. :) It did (and still does) mean anything non-human to which human characteristics are applied. I was browsing threads in the General RPG forum...

    Ecology Of...

OK, after some thought, I'd like to start with the following 5 ideas for a query. Options abound, however, so we can always work with more in the future, and I certainly hope to do so if this meets with any success at all. :) Bullywug Detail the sleeping god Ramenos Give them a racial feat...

    Converting Epic Level Beings

eh? Vore has amassed as impressive a treasure hoard as any great dragon, though it has become tied to the mountain just as he has. None of his treasure can leave the mountain so long as he lives and remains tied to it.

    D&D 3.x Creature Catalog 3.5 Overhaul Project

i'll look more into those options later, but they sound like a good start. not so sure on the Handle animal penalty thing though, but that might be OK.

do you also figure that the sipper should get temporary hp from blood drain?

    Converting Epic Level Beings

i don't remember seeing anything about treasure one way or the other. we can go with triple standard, but we need to state somewhere that it can only be gained once Vore is killed and characters can get past his corpse into the mountain.

    D&D 3.x Creature Catalog 3.5 Overhaul Project

I think the wraith and spectre will simply do well with this: Light Sensitivity (Ex): Creatures are dazzled in bright sunlight or within the radius of a daylight spell. As for their other special attacks: Wight: Energy Drain (1 negative level) Wraith: Constitution Drain (1d6), also Unnatural...

    Converting Epic Level Beings

i'll try to get Vore posted again tonight. :) TREASURE: Special what should we go with for that? i'm almost leaning "None", since it makes sense, and the article seems to give no indication about what he might have or where. however, i'm also thinking that if a party manages to kill him, it...

    Ecology Of...

i think i'd like to avoid redoing ecology articles and re-using creatures which were introduced in the original ecology article in the first place... that's a bit to retread even for me. ;)

    Ecology Of...

so noted. :) i think now would also be a good time to get into well-known creatures already in 3E, with lesser-known variants not yet featured in 3E. upthread, i menioned the Dryad - Hamadyrad connection. Shade mentioned: and and and and plus, i mentioned a few more: though yet...

    Ecology Of...

OK, getting things started... to meet criterion #2, i went through Monster Mythology and picked out those beings which had gods, have appeared in 3E, and did not have ecology articles in the last 100 issues. i left off the big races, like elves, dwarves, and orcs, since they are beyond the...
