Forgive my ignorance, but what is 'Divine Might'? I don't believe I've heard of it in my years of playing 3.5.

Could you elaborate on the 2006 PR debacle? I was paying very little attention to the industry during that year, so I'm at a bit of a disadvantage here.

I can't buy anything - I get a "Preauthorization Failed" message instead of a confirmation page. After double-checking, I noticed that my zip code was entered incorrectly :uhoh:, but I still get the error message even after correcting that.

Do the "real software" benchmarks in "most" reviews show such a commanding lead in both performance and price/performance ratio? For that matter, would you mind posting a couple of links to the comprehensive CPU reviews you've been reading lately? I'm not trying to be snarky or start a fight...

I'm not so sure you can draw any valid conclusions about relative performance between chip offerings when the performance tests are gimmicked...

Given that his Leadership score is 14, he should get the cohort, the first-level followers, and a second-level follower. Though as krupintupple pointed out, a dozen first-level warriors with crossbows don't really help in a CR 10 combat.

Because a rat with Bull's Strength and Prayer active would do 1d3-1 damage (1-2). A rat with Bull's Strength, prayer, and bardsong active would do 1-3 damage. etc. etc.

IMO, the atmosphere in D1 was superior - it had this creepy horror aspect that D2 lacked. OTOH, the interface for D2 was so much improved (running...) that it was really hard to go back to D1 after playing D2. I'll agree that the outdoors areas in D2 were a nice addition to the dungeons though.

I also really like the new address bar behavior (I can't bring myself to call it 'awesome' though). It's a bit of an adjustment, but I'm starting to find the title info to be rather helpful -- it makes recognition a little quicker than if I had to parse URLs alone.

Well, if it's anything like D1 and 2, it's probably a click'n'slash-fest. A fun, addictive click'n'slash-fest :)

Woot! That's a definite improvement :) ...an option to set it to 50 or 100 on a per-user basis would be welcome indeed, though. Is there any chance of getting that option back? Or was it nixed forever back when the posts-per-page got set to 15?

I agree 100%. 15 posts per page forces me to click to a new page WAY too often.

Thanks for the quick reply :D I have a followup question. Will there be a CS account option for disabling ads without the other features? I don't really care about a custom usertitle, search access, etc, only about the ad column.

Rumor has it that the new site codebase will allow community supporters to turn off the ads. Will this also collapse the right-hand-side ad column? I'm finding its presence to be incredibly annoying. For that matter, is the ad-disabling feature enabled yet? If not, when will it be available?

Edit: My concerns were better addressed up-thread. Besides, there's no reason to throw fuel on the embers, now, is there?

Okay, you play a Fighter, I play a Barbarian. On my turn, I take up flanking position. +2 to hit isn't the pinnacle of "cool", but surely it's more than "nothing". Or how about if I'm playing a Rogue? Sneak attack from flanking is nothing to sneeze at. There are synergies with Monks, too...

Or you could simply subscribe to the thread and get daily email updates without ever needing to click on the Story Hour message board - that's what I do.
