    Did you houserule Hardness back?

Some relevant info: And finally: If you go right to the rules about damaging objects you won't see it. But the books (and the rules to some extent) does support it. Just use your judgement.

    Class Acts: Swordmage

Oh yeah, sorry. You're right. I guess I was more concerned about the order of things. It does, but even so, there are not that many Str powers (even less useful ones, except for a few at low levels). You can easily build an Assault Swordmage without Str (a 13 would do, to meet Hide armor prof.)...

Stuff that still bugs me about 4e

If you really understood my post, and are saying that minions should really be meant to be sort of a threat at low levels and completely irrelevant at higher levels, and think that that's actually a feature.... well, that's just stupid, otherwise they could just rule that minions level tops at 5.

    Class Acts: Swordmage

Oh! I just realized the first "Effect:" line is below "Attack:". That certainly isn't right. I wasn't even understanding the problem. But... there's no secondary attack, "Effect(#2)" happens regardless if you hit or miss.

    Class Acts: Swordmage

It's more like this: You first teleport adjacent to Ted (if you can reach) Then you hit Ted (dealing 2[W] + Int damage) Then If Susie and Tim are adjacent to Ted they (Ted included) take the ongoing damage.

Power-creep Inevitable, But is that Bad?

I think Cadfan actually nailed it down on his thread. Basicly, there's a lot of stuff missing from the PHB, stuff that needs to be addressed no matter what, stuff that might be more powerful or not, doesn't matter. I mean, I'm almost sure we can expect a Charisma Feat for Paladins on Divine...

Stuff that still bugs me about 4e

I'd say only a couple of them used to metagame, even though I never had much a problem with that before. But now it seems something hard to avoid, for example, I never say if a given monster is a minion or not... but once they find out... Though, now giving more thought to it, I think it's...

Stuff that still bugs me about 4e

Sure. It's just that it leads the players to metagame thinking. No matter how you describe the minions, once the players find out that they're minions, the general attitude you'll see is gonna be something like this: "Hurry, place a Cloud of Daggers here!" or "Ok, next turn I'll move in the...

Fighter Encounter 1 - Rain of Blows

To be fair, I regret showing that combo (the one I linked on my first post here) to my players. I'm running Keep on the Shadowfell for a group of 3 players (eladrin fighter, warlord and ranger). Afraid it would be too hard for them, I ran Kobold Hall first. So, by the time they reached...

    Class Acts: Swordmage

Ever since Intelligent Blademaster showed up, that's no longer the truth.

Stuff that still bugs me about 4e

Yeah, there's supposed to be a "mechanically" there somewhere... my bad. The feat that you can --and they're not free, and even if you pay to get it you still share it with another 2 Channel Divinity abilities-- get doesn't even come close to the granted powerS and domain spells we had on 3rd...

    Craghammer Twin Strike Madness

Both Weapon Focus and Dwarven Weapon Training provides the same type of bonus (feat bonus), thus they won't stack. If you want to further increase your damage with a feat, look for Two Weapon Fighting as it's untyped and will also add to twin strike, except only the main hand attack.

    Class Acts: Swordmage

Just the fact that Transposing Lunge uses Int for damage while Icy Sweep uses Con. Which favors Transposing Lunge even more. Oh yeah, Icy Sweep deals cold damage... :rolls eyes:

Stuff that still bugs me about 4e

From what I can remember right now, the only things that bugs me about 4E are: 1) Clerics and their Gods. Basicly, the choice of your deity has no impact on your character... 2) Minions. I like the idea, but not the sort of attitude they lead the players into. 3) Ritual Scrolls. I'm fine...

    Craghammer Twin Strike Madness

A couple things: 1, You don't get to add Str modifier to damage on Twin Strike, even though Hunter's Quarry and Dwarven Weapon Training still apply. 2, You don't need Weapon Proficiency, Dwarven Weapon Training already covers that.

    Poll: Drow PC's

Oh, thanks for the tip! I'm still pretty noob to the Realms.

Justifying high level 'guards', 'pirates', 'soldiers', 'assassins', etc.

The same way you justify an acrobatics check to avoid slipping on a pool of water at lvl 30 having a DC of 28 while, a lvl 1 character on the very same pool of water would need only to roll a 10. Short answer: just don't.

Fighter Encounter 1 - Rain of Blows

I wouldn't say more than it's original class, mostly due to the fact that you can only apply sneak attack/quarry once per turn. Otherwise, it's just as good for both (or for anyone that can afford to get it). Also, it synergizes pretty well with Villain's Menace.

    Poll: Drow PC's

Funny question. If asked about this a couple months ago, I'd probably say "no drows on my games". Now, as i'm finally embracing FR, it's kinda inevitable. I'm starting a new campaign now, and all the players decided to make a drow :.-( (all the three of them, rogue, warlock and paladin). My...

    Class Acts: Swordmage

Oh, finally! My first impressions: Frigid Blade: excelent option at higher lvls, I could see retraining Booming Blade for this one at mid-paragon tier. Dimensional Thunder: level 1 teleport, basicly turns yourself into an AoE burst of lightning. Considering the other lvl1 dailies I quite like...
