My DM'ing has gotten worse over the years, not better

Well said. It's important to have a fair idea of the rules and plots, but much more important to be able to guage what's going on at the table. If you can grasp the latter, everything else becomes intuitive and easy.

Why oh why do they hate my NPCs?

    Maybe you should ask them?

Pathfinder 1E Question for the Paizo folks regarding D&D's state of today

It might be easier to find a group and play online via VTT. But i have found that people and groups generally tend to fall apart/disappear after a few sessions. There is also a lot of technical mastery involved for the GM and more constraints and requirement for preperation. The technology just...

Gamma World Box Set Sneak Peak on I09.com

What I am unclear on is this; does each player have a "separate" deck they draw power cards from or is there only one deck at the table?

Gamma World Box Set Sneak Peak on I09.com

Care to explain how a game which has expansion packs that add on to a characters abilities does not have any relatability to a CCG? Or is the extent of your argument summed up in "good try."

Gamma World Box Set Sneak Peak on I09.com

Sure boosters are also "optional" for most CCGs; that is until someone shows up at the table with an "optional" deck or three.

Did WotC underestimate the Paizo effect on 4E?

As an aside, James Jacobs was one of the primary authors of Red Hand of Doom.

    Subscription levels dropping

Perhaps it has to do with the overall trend with site visits and where 4e is in its product lifecycle.

    Iron DM 2010 Discussion Thread

Echo the same sentiments here. Unfortunately, I didn't realize how much writing time is needed to do justice to the entry. As such, I had to leave out a lot of the detail, not just with the Alembic, but also with key encounters (Barber Assassins, the descriptive of the Ashram, notes on all the...

Pathfinder 1E You're the CEO of PAIZO. Now What?

I would explore the convergence of technology and table top gaming to see what the nature/future of RPGs are. For example: The move towards a more computer/graphic centric tabletop gaming experience and how the next evolution of pathfinder will place itself in this context. The...

Pathfinder 1E What project would you like Paizo to tacke next for Pathfinder?

No; those modules are very loosely connected. Older modules such as U1-U3, G1-3, Elemental Evil etc. all have much tighter links and an overall plot arc. I especially love U1-3 in that there is a "sandbox" element as well as as an overarching plot. Another wonderful example of this is the...
