    Nature's Remedy: 5E Herbalism

Speaking of a lack of links, those freebie samples they had up a few days ago? I clicked all over those pages and just got run around to the same pages over and over again, never got to download anything. The biggest reason I haven't signed on is that if I can't find the download mechanism...

    [UPDATED] What's Paizo's "Big News"?

Robert Downey Jr. says there's a big announcement coming next week, presumably related to Marvel Studios projects. I'm guessing they're related ... Seoni is joining the Avengers!

Pathfinder 1E What do I need (never played Pathfinder before)?

You can print out all the info you need for your character from the websites listed already, and that's all you need. But I would also join in saying that having a Core to look over between sessions will accelerate your learning of the general rules of the game, and eventually become something...

    Pathfinder 1E 5-ft. Step + Shooting longbow

    Yeah, that's like Legolas 101.

    95 PATHFINDER Classes?

I used to play 1st edition back in the old days when Dragon magazine was publishing new classes. One of my friends made the comment that one of these days we'll run into a 10th level stable boy. Which is why, if I ever get to run Pathfinder with him, they will indeed run into a 10th level...

    10 Iconic Fictional Swords!

More obviously than ever, there needs to be a film adaptation of the Elric material. That's what I've learned today.

    10 Iconic Fictional Swords!

There can be on excuse for not including Stormbringer, even the "there's no specifically recognized depiction of it" that works for Excalibur, the most famous sword in the world. Because if a GM were to say to a group of players "you see that the sword is black and is inlaid with glowing red...

    95 PATHFINDER Classes?

Thunderscape: World of Aden has nine classes not listed above, I assume the OP doesn't have that book. Also, there's a spellcaster in an issue of The Wayfinder that got missed (can't remember the name of the class or the issue it was in) even thought the Wolfshifter is mentioned, and is also...

Pathfinder 1E What would be the best bloodline for a socerer with "Phsycic powers"

Wayfinder #2 has a Psionic Bloodline, which looks to me like it'd potentially be a lot of fun. I'd say it would fit the bill you've got laid out there.

Pathfinder 1E Critical hit damage calculation?

2d10+10. Since you've already specified that one of the d10s is actually a 10, it would be 1d10+20 from there. The rule you're looking at applies to rare situations where you doubling for one reason and doubling again for another reason, and saying you only triple in that case. Say you're...

Pathfinder 1E Where does Pathfinder go from here?

I could certainly support genre expansion. The back section of The Advanced Class Guide with it's advice on creating new classes/archetypes/prestige classes was a more interesting read than I expected, and if I had more time I could see using that advice to adapt classes from pre-Pathfinder...

Pathfinder 1E IF Paizo was planning a Pathfinder 2.0 what signs would we see?

The OP question is hard primarily because I think we've got signs it won't happen, not just soon, but ever. Based on what I'm seeing of the fifth edition of you-know-what and the reaction to it, edition wars may be obsolete. No, I'm not saying D&D is about to take over. But I do think they've...

Pathfinder 1E How far can you push Illusions?

Always, always hated what I used to call "belief damage". People would insist to me that it made perfect sense that someone could take the equivalent damage from a real or illusory sword. The belief itself damages your body, I was told. So, alright then, if I get hit by a real sword don't I...

Pathfinder 1E A death & dying system that can't skip Dying

I'm too lazy to dig for it right now, but I have a 3e adventure called "The Lost City of Somethingorother" or (something like that) that recommends death at negative 10+level for exactly this reason. Pathfinder version would be negative Con+level, or course. Anyway, having that margin scale...

Pathfinder 1E I get the feeling Paizo isn't worried about Wizards of the Coast.

Paizo has said they actually feel obligated to do so -- and I think they are. A lot of people use the Adventure Paths because they haven't got the time for anyone in the group having the resources to create their own world and scenarios. So if I buy Bestiary 3 and Paizo never draws from it, if...

Pathfinder 1E I get the feeling Paizo isn't worried about Wizards of the Coast.

Personallly, am I going to buy the 5e core books? Absolutely, for the same reason I got the 4e ones -- simple curiosity. I liked 3e, haven't had a chance to play Pathfinder but I think it looks even better than 3e. I got the initial releases of 4e because I wanted to know what it is. I...

Pathfinder 1E Fly Skill and things that let you Fly

Cloak of the Bat? When using it, you are a creature with a fly speed, aren't you? Is somebody going to claim that it's okay if you are in bat form when you level up, but otherwise no?

Pathfinder 1E Advanced Class Guide Playtest Rules

This has nothing to do with the game mechanics, but it's an aesthetic issue that I want to address up front: I hate the name "Brawler" for the Monk/Fighter hybrid. To me, a brawler is some big lout who relies on his size and belligerence to win fights, pretty much the opposite of the master of...

Pathfinder 1E Is Pathfinder going to slow down?

That's been an issue in the process of putting out adventures since the beginnings of the hobby -- and one of the reasons that I'm a Paizo fan is that I think you guys have hit the perfect balance for all the reasons you've just explained. Don't change a thing about those policies and procedures.

Pathfinder 1E [Hero Lab] Version 7.19 of the Pathfinder files for Hero Lab is now available

1001 Spells is a great book overall, but there are some editing problems. For example, inclusion of "Keen Senses", redundantly since it's in a Paizo supplement already; it also extends the spell to the Inquisitor, which the official version does not. Are those cleared up in the Hero Lab add on?
