    Grim Tales Character Generator

I think a GT SRD would be great. Some people are SRD detractors thinking that people won't buy the cow if... But I disagree wholeheartedly. I downloaded the SRD for BESM d20 and I've since bought 2 copies of the origional and 1 revised. Plus I like having the SRD handy. I think this would...

Any good Prestige Classes for Artifacers?

Thanks for the rundown on that. We're running a campaign thats supposed to last until level 23 and Artifacer looks like it's pretty much done about 14, other than gaining more Infusions and Artifacer levels, which are important for level requirements for magic items. You can make pretty much...

Any good Prestige Classes for Artifacers?

Actually I just saw this Prestige Class the other day. Not a Gnome (easily ignorable), Artificers arn't Arcane and Artificers already have a similar ability to Identification. The Artificer version just lets you know if it's magic and just adds Int+level, not Spellcraft. Overall, this is the...

Any good Prestige Classes for Artifacers?

So far, the closest I can find is this one in Magic of Eberron where you slowly turn into a Warforged like cyborg. Even still I'm not even convinced that it's even a good (other than thematic) match with an Artificer. I might not even mind taking a bit more combative class later on, but I'd...

M&M2e: No HP!? What were they thinking?

I (and the rest of my group) fully understand the different concepts of DR (now TS) vs HP. They wouldn't want to play in game where you can hit & crit and still not deal damage - or die/ko in one hit. The semantics of the DR rule really rub some people off because they feel they're being...

M&M2e: No HP!? What were they thinking?

I agree, which is why I said as much. :) Can't agree there because I've only skimmed through and seen the artwork... I assume you're right and even the vast majority of people would thing it's superior in every way to 1e. From what I've heard, art aside, I hear it's a superior Superhero RPG...

    Spycraft 2.0 is awesome!

Caps would be written down next to every skill or on your GC screen (there is a download with 8+ pages of charts from the book for your GC needs). I'm of the mind to make players remember all their own stuff. I'll flat out ask "whats your total, is that higher than your cap?". Two reasons: 1...

M&M2e: No HP!? What were they thinking?

While I like damage save, I'm sorely dissapointed by the omission of something so basic. Basically saying "We don't need your kind" to Players/Groups who don't like the damage save. Pony up the quarter page and put them in. It wouldn't force anything else out of the game. You're not talking...

M&M2e: No HP!? What were they thinking?

Well it wouldn't be silly as M&M1e had them. There wouldn't be a reason to expect that options from 1e would turn up missing in 2e.

M&M2e: No HP!? What were they thinking?

M&M used the damage save and had like a side bar for using HP. Heck, from what my friend told me (I havn't touched M&M) it had sidebars and optional rules for many things. It was a toolkit book that made it suitable for many things. He got M&M2e yesterday and kept complaining that they...

    OGL material from Wizards?

I think the WotC D&D boards might have enWorld beat on numbers of D&D gamers.

    sorcerers

You just need to be psychic to know exactly which spells and in what numbers you'll need to the next day to make you more flexible than the Sorcerer who doesn't have to think about it.

Am I breaking any rules with this tactic?

It's better, but looking at the other pre-reqs for effects in the game, you need a stronger pre-req for offering up a free move action which it can put someone into melee so that they can attack. I'd probobly say BAB +3 & Improved Iniative. Maybe a dex of 12 or 13.

Am I breaking any rules with this tactic?

Also, if someone has a full round to act, they can make use of extra attacks they might have.

    sorcerers

Here is what I have after all I've read and discussed. Just the facts of whats in the book, not based on how well/poor some players can divine the future or tactically play the system. A "+" is something that is mechanically superior to the other class. A "-" is something that is...

[Artificer]Does making an item need to be 8 hours in a day?

Ironically we were going to play normal 3.5 and I had a Sorcerer made. The GM suggested Eberron and we said cool. He suggested that I run an Artificer (he knows I like Techno-Wizards in Rifts) in the game. I agreed so long as I would actually get time to craft items. I'll give it a little more...

    sorcerers

No, don't change the subject. The only thing it came down to was that you said: I was attempting to show that Sorcerers can shine in normal day to day use because of their flexibility. The thing with the Wizard... any spell selections you make are poor in hindsight if other spells would have...

    sorcerers

Ok, then Wizards win. If the fact that they can scribe scrolls means that you automatically assume that they have dozens of scrolls on hand for every occasion automatically, then they have the most flexibility and versatility. I've never seen someone who could afford to spend the time/money to...

[Artificer]Does making an item need to be 8 hours in a day?

Thats cool. Once I hit a high enough level I might be able to use my class ability. I can also create Hermuculi to make stuff too. Saves time, but I have to be there for some portion of it apparently. But until I get that spell or make some Hermuculi, I'm out loosing my Craft Reserve.

[Artificer]Does making an item need to be 8 hours in a day?

So far I'm only doing Scrolls & Potions and I've only made Scrolls. I assume you don't need a workshop for scrolls, just the materials and a quiet place to work. Like I said, I know I can split up the days, but the adventure is one of those continious ones where you're lucky to get 8 hours for...
